Hi I recently lifted my truck about 3 inches with a suspension lift. Got it aligned and it seems I need some new UCA to get it fully in spec.
Is there that big of a difference in brands? I know most of you probably like one or the other but I just want to know the qualities. Like nike vs payless or Dan Wesson vs hi point. Icon vs light racing SPC?
I have a 06 DCSB 5100's and 885 coils if that makes any difference. I don't do any crazy off roading I just want a quality part that will last.
    Thanks!

Total chaos! You will love it. Light racing will be the lower of the bunch, then there's camburg and total chaos. Those 2 are high quality and great choices. Camburg does use a bigger uniball which is overkill but at that point it comes down to looks I would say. They both look sharp. There's a couple other brands that are good also and if I'm not mistaken there a couple group buys some

Too poor to list anything interesting.
x2 for total chaos. A little extra up front, but I like how it handles with my truck. Plus, I'm sure the alignment guys love it.

    And they look awesome :anonymous:

I got light racing Uca's and they run great with my setup, I am also running 5100s 885x with top plate spacers and all is aligned and handles well. Only thing about the light racing Uca's is that it doesn't have that "cool" color or stickers to identify its an aftermarket/upgraded Uca's.I can't say about the other brands but hear nothing but good things about them as well. Hit up @HeadStrong Off-Road as they have competitive prices

It depends on what you want OP. the ball joints of the lightracing UCA's will require less maintenance and have MORE ARTICULATION than a uniball setup.

Yes, you heard that right. I have not seen a uniball with miss-alignment spacers capable of more than ~ 72* of articulation, most are down around the 60-65* mark. The SPC lightracing uca ball joint is capable of doing 82*

If you are looking for maximum strength then uniball is the way to go. But if you are like me, and want low maintenance, more adjustability, more potential articulation, and dont beat the eff out of my truck, SPC was the way to go.

Camburg makes a balljoint UCA to give you the good looks but low maintenance but I believe it's only a few bucks cheaper then the uniball version??

Haha it wasn't me I just know because a guy said he snatched them in one of the regional threads.

There is also an All Pro UCA group buy going on right now. I think it ends up being like $560 with free shipping. Thats a really good deal on a uniball UCA

Just did ~ 20-30 mi of play in gorman, lots of woops, lots of full flex, no issues. I dont off road tons (200-300mi a year), but id have no problem going anywhere i wished with these uca, they are built well.

They use stock sized ball joints, AFAIK, SPC uses custom much bigger ones, that are now greasable with a zerk fitting.

After initial issues with twisting etc.... no thanks, I was very close to buying the JBA arms, but after some had some pretty gnarly issues with them, i went with the tried n true SPC arms and am very glad i did.
