IMG_2136.PNG.jpg Hey everyone so Black Friday I bought a set of true travel dynamics's UCA's. I'm installing my lift tomorrow. 2.5 fox fronts 2.0 fox rears both with reservoirs. All pro leaf pack. I'm going with 285 75 16's. My question is does anyone know how far to adjust the heim joints in or out ? I called true travel but they weren't much help.
They said "leave a few threads showing and try it if it doesn't work just re adjust."
    Any suggestions? Thanks

Id leave them. My icons i i did not have to adjust. I just align it every time using the lower control arms. They could help you get a better alignment though if your struggling getting it with the stock adjustments. Icon had mine set similar to where a tubular bushing arm would be that doesn't adjust. So again, assuming this company did the same, I'd leave them

They are beefy. Appear to be high quality. Customer service wasn't the best I had to guess on the heim joint adjustment as far as alignment I don't know yet since I haven't had the truck aligned yet because I couldn't get the fox coilovers to adjust. Gonna try again to adjust em again and then get it aligned.

Go to harbor freight and get a 5 piece long drive pin punch set for $8 and use the 5/16" to adjust the coilover. Make sure you have the truck jacked up off the wheel and spray a lot of WD-40 at the top collar and lower spring seat collar. You will thank me later lol.

If you have the fox wrench throw it away since you have the remote resi's.

@TacoRD16, I read all of your and others posts in the fox 2.5 threads. I tried that. I got less than a half a turn and ended up bending the punch. Then I ground a grade 8 bolt to the same diameter and used a wrench on it for leverage and bent that. The last bit it moved it was turning the spring too. I had the vehicle on stands and suspension sagging. Set screw was backed out two full turns. Any other suggestions. Not excited about the thought of having to take em off to adjust. And a couple 4wd shops here in Richmond want 4-500 to adjust em.
    Thanks,
    Mike

If you were using a cheater bar or wrench then I can see how it bent bc mine was starting to bend. I push the punch mid length and spray every few turns. I use quite a bit of force having to leverage my entire body and bracing within the wheel well each turn (230 lbs and bench press 300+ lbs). Wear leather gloves push mid length with everything you have and once it starts moving keep the motion as long as possible. I had the set screw far out where it was very loose. Each turn the spring rotated so its critical to spray the lower spring collar since that was the sliding contact. Last resort would be just go to autozone and rent spring compressors for a few bucks and just compress the spring to aid in setting the collar height.
