    Hi,

I'm a brand new member and have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma Offroad.
I just bought Icon's Billet Delta Joint UCAs (58550DJ) and they're not fitting around the pivot tubes on the chassis. It seems like the inner hiem joint spacers are too long. Has anyone else had any similar problems, and how did you fix it?

    Thanks

It’s a very tight fit to get those in there. How much interference are you seeing? A picture would help.

It's only like 1cm off. I was thinking that maybe it was just a super tight fit too, but I've been trying to fit it on all day with no luck. I'm thinkin about maybe just grinding down the spacer a little bit.....

I’d advise against that, but it is a viable option. What I’ve done in the past is to turn the uniball in the rod end outward ever so slightly. Opening the space a bit. You’ll then want to use a rubber mallet or dead blow to ease the UCA in place. As it lines up with the shock tower, the uniball in the heim will straighten out. It’ll be a tight fit but that’s what you want with heim joints. Any slop in the fitment will cause the liners to wear prematurely not to mention they’ll chatter and squeak while you drive.

Thanks, I got them on. I loosened the bolts for adjusting the heim joints a bit and they fit without even having to use a mallet, haha. I don't know why I didn't think of doing that before.
