I don't see how. The contact between the UCA and shocks is being made when the shock is extended, not when it compresses.

Another example of this problem being hit or miss. I'm surprised that vendors don't hear about these problems.

Downsouth and Dirt Kings say that they've never encountered this problem with this setup. I guess people don't report it to the vendor and find other solutions or live with it.

I have Icon 2.5 extended travel coilovers with Total Chaos UCAs. So we kinda sorta have the same thing. I would say put limit straps in that catch the suspension right before they make contact. I will post pictures tonight of my truck at full droop with the limit straps.

Thanks. Who makes the limit straps?

I have 700lbs springs on the shocks right now in anticipation of a new bumper and skids that are being built right now. So the truck is riding a little high at the moment. So as it sits right now there's hardly any downtravel before the UCA hits the shocks.

Hmm. Then i would wait until everything is installed then before proceeding with the limit staps. And there are several companies that make them. You can just pick what you like best.

Did you mess with the lower control arms? I run the exact same setup as yours, front and back, with the exception of Total Chaos UCA's.

I see that you're local in HB. If you want, we can meet to compare the installations to see if anything is out of the ordinary.

I had the same issue with the extended kings and DK UCA. I actually have the lower DK arms so that may have played into it. I had to rotate the coil so the UCA fell in between the gap on the coil at full droop. I was able to slide a 1/2" drive ratchet handle (although anything to obtain leverage will work) into the slit of the bottom coil bucket. I now had the leverage needed to turn the coil and orient it correctly. I recommend jacking up the truck and removing the tire before attempting this. It has been months and miles of off roading and everything is still good to go. I am in Corona if you need help. PM me and we can set up a time for you to roll out. Good Luck!

Get some straps. That uniball is touching the misalignment spacer. You are maxed out on travel. It will save your uniballs too and probably prevent shearing the UCA bolt.
Something like this. You can get all the parts at an off road shop. You'll need to weld the clevis arm to the frame.

8 month Necromance = meme fatigue is real and my curiosity wants objective answers to below quote. @jAndyMendo @Overlanerd @Iggy

Any advice on how to request this hose configuration? I intended to rebuild old DSM UCA or should I just get a tube UCA? (TC to match the rear links)

About to order from Micah at DSM. Any help, photos of setup and suggestions are appreciated.

Micah got me the hose based on @jberry813 estimates and it was spot on. One of those two should have he info. PM me if you need the name it was shipped to for Micah. from there it doesnt matter what UCA you run.

I like what you guys did, and I still want to do that even with the TC arms. But my lowers are still DK.

@44357 It was his porn name. Don't fall for that trick.

Edit: I don't have resis on my Fox coilovers. I will hit up @jberry813 & Micah when I eventually switch to Kings. Or just wait for @jAndyMendo to go LT or SAS and swoop on his.

My buddy has this same issue with rubbing on kings with dirt king UCAs. Im thinking as others describe either work the coil to the sweet spot or look to replace with the tubular ones. Might be a dumb question, but is it possible to shave off some of the Middle of the UCAs and then box them back up? I bet they dont rub by much.
