Nothing major. -3rd Gen OR suspension swap. -Trailer light plug relocation.
I recently found out that I have a bad ball joint on my 2nd gen and the guy at the shop said it would ultimately be cheaper and easier to just replace the UCA's instead of the ball joint. With that said I eventually plan on putting about an 1.5"-2" lift but like not for another year or two. For that size lift would I need to replace the UCA's with something beefy or would something similar to stock work fine? If similar to stock works what are some recommendations for replacements?

I'd just try to find a set of stock take off's on C/L or something, I've got a set out in the shed

That sounds like it's probably the cheapest option but wouldn't I still be at risk of the ball joint going out again relatively soon?

I guess thats always a possibility, I'm sure ebay or Amazon have them cheap for remans, could even hit up your local napa or oreillys

From reading around some more, from what I understand is that typically for lifts under 3" you do not need to replace UCA's with beefy aftermarket ones?
