I was driving on the highway today, on a route I've driven twice in the tacoma with no issue... There was really strong winds causing a bit more roll on the corners than usual, and when going around a banked corner I heard a loud, squealing rubbing sound... That sound was my UCA on the driver side rubbing on the inside of tire.

I know an easy solution is some half inch spacers or aftermarket UCAs or whatever... However both rims/tires and the lift were installed by the dealership... Should they not cover the costs? I think a bit of paint to touch up the stock UCA and a set of spacers should be realistic expectations... Thoughts on this?

Here is a picture that shows the clearance between tire and UCA...

    What wheels?

XD Series Hoss rims... 17x9 with 5.71 inch back spacing and 18mm offset.

    265/70/17 Duratracs

3 inch spacer lift / level.

The parts manager gave me a list of rims they carried that he knew would work for the setup. This whole setup was approved and installed by the service manager

Just scrolling through the first page of rims on tire rack, there are only 2 that have back spacing over 5 inches, most are 4.75, I would throw a half inch spacer in. Yes the backspacing works but it tire roll isn't accounted for. Maybe even go back and get them to pay for the spacers and even try new UCAS while your at it. If it was approved by the service manager your tires shouldn't rub the UCAS.

Sorry this happened to you man, that sucks

Yeah I think one new UCA and a set of spacers should be reasonable to ask for, especially with it all having been dealer installed... Less than 3000km on the truck and I might already have to get stuff fixed... Not too happy.

New control arm because paint was scuffed off? No.
Spacers? The dealer likely wouldn't install them.

IF anything (big if) I would ask to exchange for different wheels.

Really you should be running adtermarket control arms for better alignment anyway.

3inch lift you need aftermarket UCA to get your alignment to spec

I'm sure they'll do something, its a MAJOR liability issue for them. Document and take plenty of photos. I personally would change the wheels to something with the appropriate back spacing, those tires should fit even without a lift and not rub anything.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Looks to me like the list was wrong.

Actually 'dealer installed fancy stuff fixed', right? Nothing actually wrong with the truck itself is there?

Don't blame you one bit. Your frustration should totally be with the dealer or whoever made their list up, and I agree with others, they should correct it.

I don't know how the price you paid them compares to that work when ordering your own parts and having them installed by an independent mechanic, but I'd guess its more.

If they hassle you too much, have them return it to stock? Then DIY, with the right stuff?
