UCA's and Alignment

    Have my spc's on D setting with 3.6 left and 3.3 right I think it steers and feels great

    I think it's supposed to be a tad diff side to side for the crown of the road.

    I believe that's some shade tree mechanic folklore, at the factory they are set as close as possible, the only way the crown would make a difference is
    1. If it was extreme
    2. If ur driver side wheel was on the center line and ur pass side was in the lane, and even then I dont think it would be a factor. When u r in the lane (between the lines) both of ur wheels are on the down slope making the crown negligible.

    Here is my recent alignment after installing 885's, 5100's, and 265/70r17's. Currently running stock UCA's.

    The current camber is definitely visible. I'm also experiencing a pretty big dead zone in the steering when centered, and it kinda wanders a bit. Not a fan of the current numbers at all.

    Am I needing a better tech to fix this, or am I in the aftermarket UCA territory? Maybe both...? Given the lift/tire specs above, would I be shooting for these numbers?
    Camber = 0.0
    Caster = 2.1-2.4
    Toe = 0

    Help is appreciated!!!

    Have a 2015 prerunner. 3” toytec, jba hi caster uca’s running 285/70/17 on 17x8.5 -10 offset. Running 4* caster, no rubbing issue front or rear(no mud flaps of course) didn’t need to do the frame chop or trim anything.

    With your steering wheel centered, and the wheels on the ground, if you turn the steering wheel back and forth do you have free play in the steering that does not move the tires? The max. play measured at the edge of the steering wheel is supposed to be no more than 30mm.

    I already had another alignment shop look at it, and I told them what numbers to shoot for. Its in a much better place right now than it was previously. That said, I think new UCA's would definitely help. Its still not perfect.

    You need at least 2.3 degrees for a factory setting. SPC would get you in for 2.5-3.0 caster! Would drive amazing

    I think mine are around 1.5, and you can definitely tell. I'm saving up for Camburg UCAs, and will hopefully get better numbers after that. I've heard some people run 4.0+ somehow.

    Personally I like camber = 0 toe = 0 ( but a slight bit toe in is ok.) caster = 3-4( I prefer 4, but that’s just me)
