    Planning on lifting my 3rd gen a little, but wondering if UCA's are REALLY needed. On my 2nd Gen I was running 5100's with OME 885/ Icon 3AAL and the shop got it aligned perfect(with stock UCA). Will the 3rd Gen be much different? I plan on going a little higher ~2.5-3" with this setup;
    -5100's w/ 887 @ .85
    -5100's rear with icon 3leaf AAL and overload left in
    -17" FN FX PRO w/ 285/70/17

    Suggestions? Thanks!

    I have basically the same set up and chose to run UCA. The reason is because with this set up you'll be right at the limit. Some have said they didn't get the UCA and had either a problem with high speed wobble or alignment issues. Having the UCA will give you the largest adjustment choices.

    Ask the company your purchasing from. Besides alignment, my experience with aftermarket UCA is you will also get more travel meaning lower wheel drop which helps in technical off-roading and articulation. Most it add typically is about an 1 inch in 2-3 inch lifts.
