Hey all, newbie to lifts here, are UCA's a necessity? If not what's the benefit of purchasing them? Any info is appreciated!

You can get away without new UCAs if you're not lifting more than 2".

The benefit is having more adjustability for proper alignment.

Gotcha, thanks for the info, sounds like it is an option if you're not going over 3"

If you want 100% done right, even with a 2" it's the way to go, it rides better with less camber and more caster without compromise.

Right, so might as well save up a few extra bucks and do it right, that was my concern, is it just a marketing scheme or are they really worth it, sounds like they are.

On the bright side, OME lift kit and UCAs are usually more than adequate for most on here, Id say about 70% members in here don't really need the $2000+ set ups they have

No hate, that's their bank account, just giving my .02s about the lift kits you'll see on here

If you're going to be lifting and keeping it at 2-3 inches or less, UCAs are a total waste of money, and in fact make the whole thing more labor-intensive, both at the installation phase and at the routine maintenance phase.

I personally would not run them in the situation you described. I certainly wouldn't buy them again.
