It was touch and go there for a while, but I think I handled it pretty well. lol

I really wanted to keep poking the bear to see how much farther he'd take it.

I think it's hilarious when someone is in disagreement with another person and they automatically resort to "oh yeah well come run that mouth to my face" or "my truck will outwheel yours"...dude, we're debating suspension components, not trying determine who's e-dick is bigger.

I swear, the Dumbgeon forum should be where certain members are relegated to permanently and never allowed to leave.

You'll be fine without new UCAs. You'll also be fine without the diff drop. Order the basic lift first, put it on, then if you need the diff drop, buy it and throw it on. Same goes for UCAs. My guess is you will be cool without either.

I agree about the diff drop...I'm in the camp that says 'don't bother'. I did mine and noticed exactly 0 difference in my boot angles, inner or outer. All the spacers do is tilt the diff forward, they don't drop it down at all. You could probably stack spacers and create a significant difference in boot angles BUT putting spacers there in the first place puts added stress on the diff mount bushings. Just not worth the trouble IMO

That being said, I still have mine installed...haven't been bothered to take it out. If it shortens the life of my diff bushings I'll get those fancy Durobump ones as an upgrade

When I first lifted my 04, I used a Readylift kit. It was spacers and a diff drop for the front and blocks for the rear. It lifted the front 2 inches and the rear 1 inch. My CV angles were pretty much stock. I didn't replace my UCAs. Allignment was just within specs. What I did notice was a difference in how the steering felt when driving. It felt like the truck would react quicker when traveling down the road, which I believe is a result of increased caster.

I picked up a pair of slightly used Toytec coilovers set at about 2.5" and replaced the front struts/spacers. Allignment was just out of specs on caster and "quick" steering remained. I had a noticable difference in the ride. The Toytecs were much softer than the spacers.

I then happened upon a pair of freshly built King coilovers, replaced the Toytecs, replaced the factory UCAs with SPC UCAs, and replaced the factory rear leafs and 1" blocks with Alcan 5-leaf packs(1.5" lift). Cv angle increased slightly, but the ribs of the boots are not rubbing(high angles cause the ribs to rub and the boot to wear through itself). UCAs with cam set to SPCs zero put the upper ball joints at stock setting while correcting caster when lifting. Allignment was now within spec and "quick" steering was gone.
