How much of a pain in the ass was it to get that screen replaced in the camper? I would think it would have been so much easier to just wrench up the door, unlocked or not, but I get the feeling that some guys just really like breaking things.

Very easy DIY to re-screen for anyone who doesn't know how.

Needed (links below are an example, check around @ Lowes, Home Depot, etc.):

    Utility Knife

    Small flathead screwdriver

    Screen Rolling Tool
    - I prefer the nylon wheels but you can certainly find them cheaper

Screen - Look for the No-see-um screen. Its tiny enough, bugs are not getting in lol.

Spline - For the spline, you want it to be slightly larger than the channel. When you use the rolling tool, you are pushing the spline into the channel over the screen. This is what will be holding it in place. If possible, take a piece of the old spline in when you match it up if sourcing locally.

or you might want to just grab a full kit -

As for process, this vid is as basic as it gets. Even though they are re-screening with the frame out just cut the material and hold it up as you get the spline started on the campershell window frame. Use the same process for any other screening project.
