I would tend to say the fugliest cars ever sold in the U.S. from a "showroom floor" configuration were the AMC Pacer and the Gremlins from the late 70's / early 80's.

 

I pulled one of those out of a ditch once. Somebody skidded of the road into someone's front yard and rolled it during a winter storm. Shearing off the entire passenger's side rear suspension. The thing was in perfect condition prior to the crash, the interior was spotless.

 

Shame on you guys for laughing at other people's rides. Somebody somewhere is probably laughing at what you are driving.
After building show cars for 30+ years I learned a car is an expression of who owns it. If they like the mods they did or think an Aztek is cool so what?
It's like with this everything black on Tacoma's fad. I see hundreds of Tacoma's that all look alike. Once in a while a guy will do something different that stands out.
Thats what I enjoy seeing. If your happy with your mods so what when it comes to what others think.
