True. But, some things actually add function in other ways. There's always a compromise.

What I'm saying is that there is a difference between modifications that are a trade-off, and modifications that do nothing but reduce performance.

The wheels are probably the most valuable thing on that truck today. All that crap stuck to and hanging off, probably is worth pennys, and the truck interior being gutted, and the cab being cut up would bring the value of the truck way down. I gues the drive train would be salvageable and woth some money, but those TRD beadlocks would probably fetch more money in today's market.

    I know it's a custom build and money wasn't a concern.

I've legit wanted a spotter seat mounted to the brush guard ever since I first saw them in the Gods Must be Crazy and Crocodile Dundee movies.

Imagine tearing up interstate 10 with the family, Nana strapped to the bumper with a pair of aviator goggles. Guaranteed to be a good time right there.

Yeah I know. I like to dream of winning some money in the lottery or someone I know leaving me a handful of money when they pass away. Reality is I'm 60 now, live in government housing and will probably die here so this Tacoma will probably be my last new truck. I have refinanced it twice and have 5 years of notes left on it. The truck works fine for me. Gets me around town where I need to go.

Can you spot the differences here?

One is a vehicle equipped for legit overlanding, the other is for taking tourists through a high fenced park.
