I bet, especially with the weather starting to warm up, I can imagine wanting to get out and drive it.
Right now the truck is my daily so I'd be SOL if I started tearing it apart for some intensive project. Hell I spent 3 days on the JD Fab 62 swap, 2 days longer than I had planned. I had to run no bed for a week till I had more time to get it wrapped up.

When you spend the time it takes to do a build the color you don't like starts to keep you up at night. Besides, the pewter is just a fancy goldish color. Like a gold 2.0.

I'm pretty keen on cement or voodoo blue if I ever wrap this thing once the Super White really starts to let go as it's known to do.

Thats true, when you're this deep, whos counting a little extra time to do it up just how you like.

my old man tan grew on me somehow, but it certainly isn't an attractive color lol

I'm gonna do the whole thing gloss berry pink

The toyota imperial jade mica color is my absolute favorite color. its the perfect amount of green and sparkly

My 3rg gen was cement. Cool color. I saw someone just spray a 1st gen with it and it looked kinda plain for some reason. Voodoo is toooo voo doo for me but would prob look cooler on an older truck. It will have some pop!

I had a 3rg gen 4runner in jade and I loved it! I will always want a 4runner or LC in jade. The truck, idk, thats why I just chose a random diff color.

Yeah! I'm totally down with that. Not a huge fan of the blue emblem but it looks really nice! Better than on a 3rd gen for sure!

Soooo, I have been really upset about the clear coverage and the roughness of the paint I did. I was putting the harness back on and scratching it anytime plastic touched it. So, I said fuck it and sanded, rebased and triple cleared the bay. It’s money! Nice and wet looking. Smooth as silk. I think I could actually spray a car w min wet sanding. The BASF paint they gave me is kinda dummy proof if you apply it correctly.

Got my little jig to drill block. Thanks @02hilux for the scoop on that. I thought I could drill it w out a jig but it’s not happening. It was hard enough to do it w a nice guide. One of those things that $66 shipped isn’t worth trying to bootleg.

Wheel adaptors came. Don’t even remember where I got them from but they are pretty nice. 8x6.5 to 8x170 1.5” each to match the rear end width and lug pattern to the ford sd. Next year I’ll prob get those ballistic fab hubs but adaptors seemed like the smart play to get on the road.

UPDATE- DON'T BUY LUGS WITH WHEELS. THEY WILL GIVE YOU CLOSED LUGS WHICH ARE BULLSHIT. YOU WANT OPEN LUG NUTS.

There was a little gap on the dipstick tube mount. Just had to use a few washers. The tube did hit the mount a little so I had to bend it slightly. 1770EDAA-A382-4880-894D-70FF8677D559.jpg194DA45F-BB35-4571-A994-4851E676B73E.jpg

Just got my Barnes order. I have no idea what some of the steering kit stuff is for. Guess I’ll find out soon. Got some extra gussets and fish plates too. This stuff is massive. 1 1/4 heims for lowers, 7/8 for steering, track and upper. Pic next to an iPhone plus.

UPDATE- DO LIKE A FULL WEEK OF RESEARCH ON HEIMS JOINTS AND WHAT THEY DO AND WHAT SIZES THEY COME IN. IT WILL SAVE YOU MAYBE $300 OR MORE. ALSO, KNOW SPACERS, SAFESTY SPACERS, 3/4 VS 7/8 HOLE HEIMS. ALL THAT SHIT. CAUSE YOU WILL BUY A BUNCH OF SHIT YOU CAN'T USE.

Barnes has some quality stuff. I used 1 1/4 Barnes heims on my 4 link on a rock crawler I built. His place is only about an hour from me.
