Possible dumb question, what is the silver plunger looking thing in the last pic? Also the tube in that takes wires from the bed to the cab is super interesting, how does rain water stay out so it isn't diverted directly into the cab?

Not dumb at all. That’s some American ass shit that we don’t use in jap cars so I wouldn’t expect you to know. It’s a $30 transmission dipstick.

The bed is gonna have a cover always and if I ever decide to not run one I will have to put a weather tite seal on the threads. Im prob gonna do that anyway just havent been to hd.

You would be surprised how much just running the torch around melting shit helped me out. Filling big ass gaps too. I was drunk and bored that night.

Efi is totally wired. May have to cut a pin out of old harness for a tach but gonna wait on that. The reds and white wires are all an ignition switch pin from old ecu plugs that I need to verify before trim and loom but otherwise she is ready to start. Just need fuel pump mats.

Your truck runs so I can understand. I’m gonna be running a carpetless holy roller til I get sprayed w water through floor I’m sure. Still don’t know wtf to do about the transfer case coming out of the floor. Don’t even know if my legs are gonna hit it yet.

Any new pics of the truck?

Got all the interior back in truck minus carpet kit and now it smells like a skank old toyota again. Gotta get seats soon. Atlas shifters are good to go. Just have to make 1 small change on one of them.

    Starting to see the light.

Vinyl is one of the best upgrades I did to my truck. I need to do it to my rock truck!

Yup it was a pita to install but damn so much better to deal with than carpet.

Havn't decided yet. Most likely gonna look into some nice marine carpet. Don't want straight vinyl but don't want a factory kit. One kinda problem is the rear heat ducts require super padded carpet. I put them in and the weathertechs were like 2" from seating properly. idk wtf to do about that other than to scrap the rear ducts.

Vinyl is not for everyone. I don't even want that in my boat. I opt for carpet in my tracker. I like walking barefoot while in my boat and Vinyl get hot in the sun.

You can add some sort of mold resistant plastic, I used closed cell foam gym mats to raise mine underneath a little, but I’m sure something taller can be acquired and cut to size. You’ll be pretty tall so far less in the water but water crossings are inevitable and I got sick of finding mold under the carpet haha. I can respect marine grade carpet but I’m sure they don’t make a marine grade carpet kit for our trucks.

    True!

too much work. prob better off taking rear heat out.

I gotta look at a factory carpet setup cause mine looks like its not happening on pass side. Maybe from beating the tunnel but I don't remember beating it enough to make it like 2" out. Ill take a pic tomorrow.

    wired fans earlier.

Was just staring at another wiring diagram and realized that Im like a complete drug addict basically. Wear the same variation of cons, beat to shit jeans and hoodies w weld holes all over. Have a massive beard from not shaving, do zero social shit other than here, lost 20lbs since the start, don't sleep, body is beat up bad and spend every dime I have on this thing/idea that sits in a garage like a crazy person.

Now i'm starting to have to justify the obscene amounts of money Ive spent to even the people close to me (shared Amazon account isn't helping) My response of you will understand when it's done is stale as fuck especially to the shop owner who wanted me out 4 months ago. lol. Fuck him.

Man, these big projects are like the ultimate test of your fortitude...

Lol. I can't believe how fast they built it. 1410 rear yoke, 1350 front, odd length. It shipped out exactly 24 hrs after I got off the phone with them and they were so cool and nice.

Prob gonna have to put a bend in my antiwrap xmember cause its a 3.5" shaft though and may hit. Thats gonna suck.
