I was taught you want it near the bend and if there's any peppering at all you need to back off.

Sounds like you might actually be able to go further with gasoline. Rules for alcohol and gasoline are different

Ok, yeah, so I guess the timing is still too high if its too far out on the tip vs the radius. The Holley map had timing at 30 degrees up to 7psi. Im really glad I am precautious with testing cause I woulda blown it up at 6-7k even at 5.5 psi.

This is the original ignition map for my setup. I can't believe they even put it on base cals. Prob hundreds of people have bent rods with this.

Have you scoured the sloppy mechanics pages for a baseline map? They have excellent resources for boosted LS guys.

No, didn't know they even had maps but I did model my ignition off there little boost gauge with all the points of safe timing based on boost. At this point I want to spend the time and make it special for my truck so I can diagnose issues in the future easier. Ill def go see if I can steal some detail off them though.

On another note, I got one of those Amazon intercoolers (american based company supposedly) but it was like $190 I think. Perfect fit for a tacoma. It is so damn good that I didn't believe the MAT readings. I tested sensor like 10x. It runs at pretty much 70-75 degrees intake air temp even after like 4 pulls and driving around in 80 degree weather. Basically like 10 degrees less than air temp. Very happy about that.

Got muffler mounted. Made use of some spare parts. She is stealthy-ish now.

Lol. Not as expensive as me having to grind, weld and repaint that crossbar.:rofl: Getting that exhaust done was a major priority. Ill prob have to change it but at least I can drive in peace for now.

I feel you, lol. Did mine 4x already and might have to redo it one more time after a trail test and flex run this summer.

Yeah, I nailed the first half but the second half has been done 3 times. Ended up like an inch lower than I wanted it to be in back. Can prob make up 1/2 that but it is like 6" from top of AntiWR so it may hit. I may just let it dent it. Truck is quiet as shit now though so kinda liking it.

Yes sir. Mines lower than what I want but will have to wait. Everything to the muffler is good.

Definitely a bitch but I got soft brake line, soft fuel lines, rubber diff breather, and locker air lines on the upper link running a few inches away from the exhaust. Rather be safe than sorry

Yeah, for sure. I have to drive and see what the temp is on mine. I have a gas bomb in my bed. I already filled it up at gas station and forgot to put the cap on and spilled like 2 gallons in bed. That was scary.

Kinda wish I powder coated my axle housing now, looking at yours. Spray paint just isn't an option here. sucks.

That suck. I went as far as buying foil wrap for the soft fuel lines at the side of the tank. Anything to help. You can also see how close the upper link and accessories is to the muffler. So far so good.

Yep, always a struggle to fit things in these builds. DEI makes some really cool sleeves. Prob gonna get some for my brake and trans lines by exhaust too.

I think it would be interesting to do a side exit that was a part of sliders. Though you may not want to step on it barefoot.
