    A friend of mines brother just had a 2017 tacoma randomly burst into flames. Has anybody seen this happen to a tacoma?

    Clearly caused by the oil level on the dip stick being a half a quart too high from dealer.

    PS: is it wrong to find vehicle fire videos kinda satisfying?

    I was thinking it was a mod too. He has a light bar either behind the grill or in that lower gap in the bumper. Other than that just a few inch lift and those screw on arches. I immediately thought the light but it’s been on for probably almost 2 years now. I did find the flames on the ground weird but I’m not familiar with car burnings

    I’ve found a few videos on YouTube of 3 gen taco’s catching fire. Wouldn’t say it’s common, but has happened. Could be a bunch of things. Usually a fuel leak, or short.

    Cars burst into flames every day. There's alot of flammable material on a car including the gasoline, so when something does go wrong the fire accelerates pretty fast. Hopefully your friend has good insurance.

    I mean it can happen to any car. I’ve seen maybe 2-3 but I don’t know why they burned. To be fair I’ve probably seen a couple of almost every type of vehicle on fire.
