I had about the same experience.

For a few more bucks, got same fuel mileage, lots more power, far better ride, lost some maneuverability and now I just take 2 parking spaces at Wal-Mart (so what, laugh) and I opted for the 5.7.

Did I say lots more power, and far better ride. Got a 2014, extended cab, 4x4.

May be back to Tacoma later; but for now I am very happy.

    Still a Toyota.

I'm sorry for the poor response. I just don't see the logic in a 2wd when you can always have the luxury of 4wd

It's not a luxury. Sometimes 4wd is a necessity

See that snow, yeah we have that here about every 10 years. I just couldn't justify an extra $100 a month for something I never used when I had it. Sure it makes you feel equipped to handle anything but honestly the only time I put my trucks in 4x4 (the ones that had it)was to lubricate the front driveline. If I lived up north, sure it would be a necessity. But more trucks down here are 2x4 simply because of the upcharge for the option.

Nice truck.... I'm a big fan of the Tundra (hasn't always been the case).

A few years ago my neighbor purchased a Tundra and I just couldn't get over how BIG it was. That same year, Toyota offered me a $50 gift card if I would test drive one of their vehicles. I went into the local dealership informing them I just wanted the $50 and was not planning on buying a Toyota. They made me test drive a vehicle so I picked a Tundra to test drive. Since then I have been a fan. Great Truck!

I ended up buying a Taco a last year.

Nice, I would have been very happy on that deal as well.
