when you and your old lady go to Arby's and you have two drinks to wash your food down and two milkshakes, you put the milkshakes back there until your finished with the drinks.

    2006 Corvette Z51 M6. Best mod ever!

I would say it is as the car seat will be held in by the seat belt to the truck. The shelf part really does not have much weight on it if the car seat is installed correct.

OMG guys, read your owner's manual. It is for extra support for a car seat, as many have said. Look above the back of the seat, where you will see a protrusion covering a hard point for strapping the seat in. This is only on the passenger side. Cupholders are just a secondary feature.

You can also use it to better support other bags or crap you might throw back there.

I think I'd be willing to part with mine, all done with baby seats and never used it as a cup holder. Give it to ya, you pay shipping.

Well you could get an owner's manual off Ebay for the truck you don't have. Sit in your room and read it and make truck noises.

I've got my interior out of my truck right now. I should have carpet delivered later today. I'm doing a little low budget sound dampening before I install the carpet. I'm just going to carpet over the mounting holes. There are 2 on the other side that I never noticed with the carpet in.
