anyone know the balanced height of the connector on a 4x8 or 5x8 trailer from level ground? i tried looking at the uhaul website but they only show size of the box and not the connector height.

trying to figure out how much of a drop i need to get for the tacoma for when i haul the daughter off to college this fall. if no one knows off the bat, i will try to figure it out once the snow goes away.

i know the hitch from the 4runner (2004) probably will not work if i can even find it.

    thanks,

I've rented both the 5x8 trailer and 6x12 open trailer. with a stock height 4x4 taco and a regular (I think it's 2" drop) hitch. It sat pretty much level, maybe just a touch high. But I drove the 5x8 1500 miles helping my sister move with no issues.

    thanks for the reply.

good news, I found the hitch receiver. bad news, the lock is attached but I cant find the keys. oh well. very rusty from sitting since 1998 so its probably my best interest to get a new one anyway.
