Buy the Amazon one, you could have it in a couple days if you want then no worries on those seals. Prolly cheaper than the parts house one anyway id guess.

With that said im with keakar, id use the one youve got and not worry about it.

By the way the other one you referred to "timken" makes quality stuff usually. If they dont use the dust seals im sure they're pry not needed!

weather still unusually lousy. decided to install the driveshaft anyways. i installed a new center support bearing also. truck runs smooth! no vibration whatsoever. I am glad i took the advice of members and made the decision not to mess with the double cardan joint after all, the only joint that was bad was the rearmost one. I did have a lot of trouble removing that rear u-joint as it was so badly worn that due to the extreme vibration it put out, the cap had become expanded and also badly rusted both internally and externally(due to loss of lube). my daughter is now very happy and excited to get her "Baby" back!
I am very grateful for all the advice I received from such a knowledgeable and friendly group!

Generally it is best practice to replace the u joints in pairs, any wear in the front u joint (at the t-case end) will be exacerbated by the tighter tolerances of the new rear u joint. If you have a convenient opportunity (and you get your press working), I'd recommend replacing the u joint on the front end of the driveshaft. It is the exact same part as the rear one you've already done.

    I agree, totally.
I will plan on doing so in the near future, for now my daughter has rekindled her love relationship with her Toy and will not give it up for any kind of maintenance.
    Thanks for your response.
