What size pack is it? You have an external frame right? Not being able to fit a pack in the vestibule was the complaint of many people in the reviews I read on campmor and other websites. I'm looking at the sierra designs vapor light models now that Pyro has told us about his hookup. Pretty good reviews and it has a much larger vestibule. About the same weight.

If your tent's been used, then be sure to clean the seams before you seal them.

Camped after wheeling a few weeks back with my brother inlaw (pictured) and a couple friends. It was low 30's by nightfall. Had one hell of a fire going, then cozied up in some 0* bags. Great night.

Do y'all worry about dogs poking holes in the floors of tents? Do you do anything to prevent it?

i have never had it happen. when ever i had a dog in my tent he had his own pad to lay on a new when he was in the tent he was to be on the pad. also always keep their claws trimmed and filed. a good way to file a dogs nails is to let them run around on pavement.

Alright.... got the tent in and set it up.

While setting it up, I quickly realized that I will be purchasing the fiberglass poles to replace the heavy ass aluminum ones. The stakes are the cheaper aluminum ones too so eventually when I feel like it, those will get replaced with lighter ones. I will definitely need to cut out a footprint because when I laid it in the yard (recent rain), i could feel some of the moisture through the tent bottom.. That is all I have to complain about. very small, easily fixed items.

Set up in about 5 minutes

This is normally an aftermarket item... I was planning on purchasing that shelf... win!

Very spacious. I could easily stretch out and had plenty of room left. Also, there are storage compartments on all 4 corners

With the cover and vestibules out. enough room to put my pack and a few other things inside.

This is how the rain fly is attached. nice and simple!!!

Overall, I love this tent thus far. The 2 doors and vestibules make it very nice and the overall set up is great. There are a few things I will change/make before I take it on a trip just to save some weight/ keep it watertight.

I will write back when I use the tent here in a little over a month

Heading to Black Balsam Knob in NC on Friday afternoon for the weekend...
Temperatures are supposed to get into the low 20s in Balsam Grove which is a couple thousand feet below the Knob, coldest camping I've done before was around 30 and I froze my arse off, course I was in a cheapo 40 degree bag with just a t shirt, shorts and socks...
