Hey Dave. FWIW, I have a Mutha Hubba (paid less than half price which is why) and I have to say, I am impressed with the quality of the tent. I motorcycle camp with it so the extra weight isn't that big a deal to me. Goes up quick too--which I like. The rain fly works very well.

So I guess I'd recommend the MSR.

Have any of y'all checked a bag in the airport with your stove in it? Anything special you have to do so it will pass? I am flying home for my break and want to go camping.

took me a litttle longer because i ordered it while he was on vacation, but should take around 3-5 business days.
thats good to hear....i wouldnt really expect anything else from msr

x1000000000 stove is fine....hell even if they open your bag to check it out they will see its a stove, but don't even think about bringing a highly flammable substance into airport security unless you wanna get real close and personal with a very strong lady named Jerry. Ask me how I know.

 The only time I have been pulled aside and searched was when I did a last minute pack for my carry on and forgot I had a fire extinguisher pin in one of the pockets... Well... right next to it was my mp3 player that at the time, was oval shaped making it look like a grenade when it went through the scanner... I also had one of those round metal cans of mints that looked like a bomb.... Yeah... needless to say I have always opened every pocket and dumped the whole bag out before going to the airport.

Update on the cot: Me and a few buddies went camping last weekend and slept outside in the open. It got down to about 30* or so. I slept great stayed warm and comfortable. Woke up with frost on me. The sky was clear, saw a few shooting stars!

I has tested this knife quite a bit so i feel like i can give it a proper review now. The blade is THICK. you can easily split logs and the blade isnt gonna flex at all. that being said it isnt very sharp. being as thick as it is they gave it a pretty steep angle when sharpening but for good reason. this knife is designed to chop and hack, not slice and dice and it chops and hacks like a champ. holds the edge for a very very long time. i have used this thing as a hammer, glassbreaker, can opener, shovel, and even a stake and the blade as held up great. just wish i could say the same about the rubber handle. the coolest thing about this knife is prolly the sheath though. i mean it just looks bad ass. also has built in sharpener.
