    This^^

And I'm pretty skinny so it doesn't take much lol. I only got some micro-fleece stuff, hardly what you'd call winter wear but for FL it's all ya need.

this lol. Just spending 2 weeks down there over xmas-new years there was one day it got down to about 50ish after being in 85 degree weather all week... kinda shocking. Then I cam home to snow and wind and 13 degree weather. Needless to say that was a rough start back to normal life.

Anybody have any reviews or comments on the MSR Hyperflow water filter? What is everybody using for filtration?

My buddy has an MSR.. however, I cannot recall if he has the sweetwater (pretty sure it is the sweetwater) or the hyperflow. He likes his though but the last time he was using it I stood there and watched him pump for a good 5 minutes trying to fill his nalgean up. lol
x2 I just bought he hiker pro and am very impressed with it thus far.

Thanks dude. Great thread. Couple of pics I had handy (one on a fly fishing/camping trip in CO, the other in SW Virginia).

Still going through, but was hoping to find some mods people had done to their Tacos for camping purposes. I'll keep looking.

:jellydance: I would LOVE to have that terrain here. It is quite a few pages back but someone post up pics of their set up in their taco. Do a search for "sleeping platforms" you should come up with quite a few results. If I had a taco that would be the first thing I did is put a sleeping platform in it for camping.
Here is an example of just a basic platform. I have seen other get really advanced with them.

I have one! I like the fast pump rate, my only complaint is how it's a little awkward to use the filter that comes with it by yourself. It's much easier when you have a second person holding the filter completely underwater while you pump.

What do y'all use for rain gear? I have frog toggs that work great, but they don't pack worth a damn. I'm thinking about getting a reusable poncho from walmart.

Nice thing about Cabela's is the warranty. I have two rain jackets, one by North Face, the other Columbia. They work well for light rain, but they get saturated when exposed to water for an extended period of time. I should probably re-coat them with some spray since I've had to wash them a few times. I have Marmot waterproof pants too, they work amazing and I got a great deal for 'em on Campmor.

I am just using the cheapo walmart 2 piece rain suit. The thing gets hotter than hell inside. I just haven't wanted to drop the $$ on some nice gore tex stuff.

Last time I was running a machine in August I was getting pouredon and had to use my old military issued rain gear. This stuff hasnt been used in 10 years or so. It was still working but the seam seal was dry rotted and getting everywhere.
