I agree with you. Technology is great only if its working. But my GPS receiver is fairly accurate and can get a fix on the satellites even under tree cover and in narrow canyons.

I wonder if the cat helped save her..the body warmth might've been what kept her going in low temps.

Just had a lost hiker out Point Reyes way. Photographer ended up off trail and couldn't find his way back. CHP located/retrieved him before SAR responded. Little cold but otherwise, OK.

Looks like the discovery channel shit canned bear gryllis. Good.... he sucked anyways. He did crap that you wouldnt normally do or could possibly do when he was in the wild. Not to mention he was a sissy and slept in hotels. Haha les stroud and dual survivor ftw.

He drank water from sand thru his sweaty sox. What no other choice like a bandana? Just sweaty sox full of wet sand didn't seem real smart to drink from.

agreed. D.S. is awesome. Also saw previews for the new Colony on Discovery. Love that show. It definitely gets you thinking about a survival situation and how/what you would use to survive...

The whole BG thing smacks of contract dispute. Much like some of the other "stars" that have had similar disputes with Discovery.

    I bet he's back in a while.
