    hmmm...the "usual spot"...
If you could only go to one place to camp/hike/float/fish/etc which "spot" would you choose? What is your one must see, can't live without it place?

I think mine would be Grand Teton NP...sadly not in MT but awesome, beautiful, and never disappointing.

I have a pair of Grundens Sund pants that are awesome. They are rubbery, stretchy, fleece-lined and 100% waterproof even if you are sitting on your ass in a wet boat. They not like regular Gore-tex shell pants at all. They don't breathe, but sometimes staying dry beats breathability. They are way tougher than a regular shell pant too. They make rain gear for fishing in Alaska and other places with horrible weather. Not too bad a price for them either.

The spot that i absolutely love is the Rae Lakes in Sequoia & Kings Canyon NP. Lots to see and do from that area.

But I have a lot of favorites and if you asked tomorrow, the answer might be different.

Mines would still be the same place I always go to. I've been there 8 times, and only just started seeing fish my last trip. Super excited about it.

Funny you mention Teton, Katie mentioned it several times.

Been to the Canyon de Chelly once.. only viewed from the top (and enjoyed the Navajo Salespeople and their artistry)... But---where does one camp there? Can you camp in the Canyon?

Campgrounds are just outside of the canyon.
We stayed at the Thunderbird Lodge and took the tour in this.

If you ride in on horseback you can camp in the canyon. The next time we go we're taking the horseback/camping tour.

Spent a couple days mid-week camping at Cuyamaca Rancho SP in San Diego County.. Hard to believe it's only about 60 miles from Downtown San Diego!

Hiked to the peak, relaxed, and ate like a King due to my Wife's fabulous culinary skills (and the 60,000 btu Camp Chef Stove!) 39* at night, 65* daytime high. Slept wonderfully in the Taco with my Airbedz (the tent is used for gear)..
