I like the idea of this "hybrid" bag (this) since it has the roominess of a rectangular bag but it seems like it would hold in the heat around your head better.

Went on a 4 day pack trip this last weekend. 4 days, 25.04 miles, and 7595' elevation GAIN. Here's a couple pics. They have been a little "tweeked" haha.

Nice. Where? Is that Humboldt Nat. Forest, and if so, which part?

First shot is from the pass above Lamoille, overlooking Liberty Lake.

Farve Lake, Castle lake. Its all part of the Ruby Crest trail.
This is another shot from above Castle Lake, we were camped just outside the left part of this picture. This one is untouched.

you don't have to yell all of the time

this one might be good...30" x77' seems to be one of the biggest sizes.
I have an REI brand self inflating pad and love it...except when I roll off of it! Gets cold fast when you don't have it under you.

The LuxuryMap (3" thick) or MondoKing (4" thick) are kick ass. The mondo comes in a XXL size that is 31"x80". I have a LuxuryMap XL and it is super sweet.

For backpacking you could get a NeoAir Camper - it is a 3" thick air mattress that is sweet- I have one of those too. They are a little more delicate than the heavier ones though.

    ^^^^woot^^^

    Sweet tent!

We have a Eurovan, so I have yet to figure out how to convince Jill of our need for a roof top tent. Maybe someday.
