Usually those, or the old Venom energy drinks. Haven't seen any in a while.

Lots of tutorials out there, simple enough to make really. I've made several different types. Can't say Alc stoves suit my style camping though. I carry a big ass Mors pot when I camp to boil water or cook in. Good ol' campfires work for me, otherwise it's a traditional camp stove. Alc stoves serve ultralight guys real well, but don't do it for me. Love the idea though.

This is one made from a cat food can. Called the Fancee Feest

This is the is a custom monster version of the mini tattoo- it uses a remote alcohol bottle. Longer run time I guess.

Ive met tons of people whose idea of camping is just that. Lets go to a state camp ground, bring everything but the kitchen sink, and call it camping!

Nothing against that as i do love me some car camping and being able to bring everything i could want....but screw state parks. To many little kids, to many people, to many rules, to much going on. I go camping to get away from people. I love when its just my group and I alone with a lake ot ourselves. Nothing beats that even if it takes 15 miles of hiking to get there!

About 7-8 yrs ago my wife and I were at a state park. We went to get some night shots of the water fall with the full moon. Would've been some really good pics. Ranger found us walking down the road and sent us back "We like our campers to be in their sights after 10:00"
Really, what are we prisoners? Just another reason not to go to state parks!

I put about 2 cups of denatured alcohol in my stove. It worked but I think I might buy the whitebox. IMO it's $23 for a stove. I'll have a few cat can stoves for friends to use. I'll do some experimenting with the ever so cheap and reliable cat can stove.

Ran into these folks in Yellowstone this weekend. It was late and their English was pretty broken so I didn't get to visit very much but I was able to get across that I loved their set up. Didn't realize they'd taken it around the world several times! Would love to do that...

Just google SUV tents. I just did and it came up with several types. I've looked at getting one for my son's truck.

The one on the left is an Eno with a pro fly rain tarp over it and the one hanging off my bumper is a Grand Trunk.

Don't knock it until you've tried a moose burger, delicious ;)

Imagine if his antlers got caught up in your hammock line. That would have been an interesting wake up call.

always ticks me off when people set up hammocks or clotheslines and then leave camp...any antlered creature wandering through is bound to get caught up
