Had mine for 3 yrs now, squeaked twice in that time. Both were when it was summer, hot out and truck sat all day while at work. All I did was reach under and turn the clutch adjustment rod a quarter turn and no more squeak.

I just lay on my back, on the floor board, using the ermatex ultra-disc-brake-caliper-lube in a plastic syringe (you can get them at pet stores) https://www.createforless.com/p-images/3/2009/0723/161720-3-1.jpg

...and then just push the gel like lube into the pivot points on the pedal assembly as shown in this TSB http://www.toyotapart.com/TSB-0186-12-Clutch-Pedal-Squeak-Noise.pdf ... I only do #1, #4, #5, then pump the pedal a few times to make sure is covers the area well. Works great

Mine hasn't made a noise since I greased it (and posted) in August. The weather is starting to warm up. I imagine I'll have to grease it again this summer, but I'm interested to see when.

rotating the threaded rod back and forth seemed to has worked. been driving for 2 days and no noise yet. I'm sure it will return but that seemed to be neat quick trick that helped.

    all tore up already
Here i felt special because the service manager was looking at me like i had 2 heads. My 16 was in for 10k service today and first nobody could duplicate sound, then i showed the "master tech" and he went on to tell me every one does that. Except he then went on to tell me mine was the first mt 16 he drove. Then he said i must be a "heavy clutcher" whatever that means. 5th mt vehicle, none have ever sounded like a 500k mile dump truck other than my rx8 pedal just before it bent the pedal around sideways. guess ill give em 1 more shot before doing it myself.

@SlipperyTaco what was the name of that lubricant you let me use on my clutch pedal a few weeks back? Stuff worked like a charm, my clutch was terribly creaky before I used that stuff, been silent ever since.

So even the 16's still make noise. I guess Toyota didn't do much to change the design.

My truck is at the 14500km mark....and my clutch has just started to creak. After going through various threads on the topic I was hoping mine wasn't going to develop the issue.....but there is comfort in community and Warranty!
