Ultimate LED Mirror Turn Signal

As far as the pre-wiring..not sure if SR's are wired from factory?? For the mirror itself..def not. Would require alot of hacking the plastic cap to fit the lens, not to mention screw alignment that holds it in. Although the SIgnal can be purchased by itself, i think the entire mirror assembly would be needed( ~$300/ea) ask me how I know

That's a great idea. Was thinking the same thing.
I'm a grab me a spare set of mirrors and eBay and see if I can convince meso to retro me a set.

I had the same idea!! I was thinkning tagging off the dome light circuit so when you walk up it would automatically turn on the puddle lights. Looking inside the mirror while apart there is plenty of open space at the bottom, and it is relativity flat (good for a flush mount LED)
Again, would need to run some extra wires through the boot, but not too hard.

Sure, but I'd prefer to start with a junk one to sacrifice. That way I can determine exactly where the cuts would need to be.

Nice work.. I'm interested in doing this but taking it a step further and having it function with the DRL's/fog lights + continue working as turn signals. Any chance that's on your radar?

 

Did you bake or cut it open? Can you post how you opened it up?

Yes, that is possible. The power can be tagged from the illumination in the door(so these would turn on with your parking lights)
then the turn signal would still make them flash.

Light intensity decreased...but Its still PLENTY bright. But now its Stealth as hell!!

 

This turned out bad ass man!

 

I just noticed once I removed all the chrome from the inside it gave the light a bigger window.

Yup. Flat black 3M vinyl. Curves were a little tricky.. but that's my middle name
