I didn’t expect to have a shot so I bought a switchback from another member. Never installed. Now I get to sell that one since I got a Meso made.

I’m often in town on the weekends so no doubt we’ll probably spot each other.
Yeah, I have 2 sets of V3’s (bought an extra as a backup). Haven’t decided what to do with them yet.

What are the pink and white wires that we tap into?
Are those the ones that go on with the dash lights?

There is no “tapping” at all done in the mirror itself. The connector I made plugs into the stock turn signal connector which supplies the Ground and Power(turn signal)
The 2 wires that have to be routed Into the door panel are Red(DRL BRIGHT) and white(DRL DIM). Those DO have to be tapped into the stock window switch wiring as shown in my instructions(still updating at the moment)
    PASSENGER: pink(switched ignition)and green(parking lights)
    DRIVER: white(switched ignition)and green(parking lights)

If you want to reverse or only hook up 1 of the wires, it is your choice.
    Example:
My friends PRO I installed them in wanted to manually turn them on/off from the headlight switch. He did not care about the dimming function. So the WHITE wire on from the turn signal was capped off(not connected to anything) and the red wire was connected to green in the truck. So they will only come on when the illumination is on the truck.
THIS IS NOT HOW I WOULD DO IT, my .02

I tried to make this install be as easy as possible for the end user(I have to put myself in the consumers shoes) hopefully it all makes sense?

Yes you can. But that introduces a little more wiring because now the turn signal input (yellow wire) needs to be spliced into TWO wires in the truck: DRL, and turn signal. You will need to diode isolate both so they can’t back feed, and also find a way to switch each circuit so they are not both powering at the same time(the turn signals cannot tell the difference of turn or DRL power coming in)
Second thing is, when the turn signal input on the Diode dynamics sees a constant power(DRL in this case) it will DIM the amber to a lower output(this is built into the diode drivers, I did not do this)
That’s a basics of it, I did not make this a feature because it would only confuse most people

I tried to talk diode dynamics into a sequential amber strip but they didn’t seem to interested with it. So I am building a strip from the ground up that will have all the features I wanted packed into 1; amber or white DRL, sequential/non sequential, etc. but like I mentioned before it will be a way out as the R&D is pretty extensive
