Maybe something is diff with your model, but I’ve checked mine(16) and a few others(18’ PRO, 19’ TRD O.R) and metered every wire...couldn’t find one.
Sure you aren’t referring to the illumination/parking lamps circuit(green) ?

Not first one i wired... but ok.. i own a pro.. so specifications should be the same.. if you are running DRls.. you are good.. unless ur switchbacks are different..

Yeah prob just different switchbacks and wiring. Good to know that worked thanks. I think the bright white is a good safety feature during the day.

Did you run the wires to the DRL wires by the headlight?

So does this mean they are always on and no way to turn them off while truck is running?

Also does anyone have pictures/preferably video of them at night with headlights on and limited editions in dim mode?

If you set it up the default method, then yes, they will turn on once the engine is on.

My set up only turns on when my dash illumination turns on. (I believe auto headlights is the same? It was like that for my Corolla)

I think you're right meso. . Seems octaviolg is tapping into the illumination circuit or in other words an accessory wire. This would have the drl for the mirror be on all the time while accessory is on. This would be different circuit than the drl setup you are referring to in the steering column. So basically before the truck is driven, if installed tapped into the door, the drl on the mirror would be on but at that point the drl on your headlights wouldn't be on. Eventually while driving the headlights drl would illuminate. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I would prefer to tap into the real drl circuit in the column or elsewhere in the cab and not into a regular accessory wire in the door.

Did you figure this out? Pics/write up would be awesome if you do. I like the stealth aspect of my v4s too much to swap these without having a way to have them off ATM

I did... sorry I’ll get details up on my day off.

But yes I got it to mimic the factory DRLs.

On another note. The dimming on the LEs is not as noticeable as the dimming on the factory DRLs but it does dim only when the headlights is turned on.

Stays on bright when only the parking lights is on.

Turns completely off when you switch the headlight to OFF on the steering column.

Also able to turn it off and on from the radio car settings.

I tried to read as much of this thread as I could but it’s just too long lol.

Is there any word on if the limited edition switchback lights will be returning? That’s the only way to get the white light DRL and the amber turn signal right? What did they cost when they were sold?

I think I’ll wait for that option if it’s available soonish if not I’ll get the regular ones. Thanks
