Ultimate LED turn signals

I'm in the exact same boat itching to get the puddles I have on hand installed, but waiting on the turn signals to be up for purchase. Will do those two along with speakers all at the same time.

 

There is no reason to wait for the turn signals to be available to install the puddles. The turn signals are literately a 10 min install and would be much harder to do with the mirror off. So you will still install the puddles then go though the turn signal install. The installs don't over lap.

Now if you are going to do the speakers do them at the same time as the puddles cause you have the door panel off.

 

I just got a set of V4 turn signals off the Tacoma subreddit and I have a sneaking feeling that I am going to end up buying pods and the V5's when they are available. MESO eats all my money lol.

I messaged meso and he mentioned the V4s being released again soon this month but the V5 would be WAY LATER in release

 

Will be worth the wait. I wonder if the kits will also come with a version for people who don’t have puddle lights since the new puddle harnesses have adapters?

 

What's the difference between v4 and v5?

 

Switchback and sequential I believe. Have to put in these limited editions one of these days.

 

They will have a white DRL then switch back to amber for turns. Similar to the limited editions he has on the site and the ones I’m running.
I rewired mine to have a cut off switch for the DRL. When I did my puddle lights I ran both wires off my passenger door switch. I noticed that one (passenger DRL) turned off with my window lock and thought I could route another wire off the passenger to my driver so it would cut them both off. Which I love. Not sure if the v5’s will have the same feature but there is also a dim setting when the headlights are on.

 

I really hope there's a run of amber/amber alongside or following the switchbacks, that's my jam.

 

Thanks for the responses. So if I want to upgrade to brighter and smoked amber plug and play turn signals then the v4 is for me?

Or, I would go for a set of amber DRL mirror lights with amber turn signal.

 

I thought he said amber/amber would be the first of them but dont hate me if I'm wrong. Sometime in the last 30 pages probably?

 

They are in development. Should have a prototype pretty soon. The internals have gone through a full design change, and there will be a small external
LED driver(similar to my limited editions). Basically the V5's will use my own molds/plastic housings paired with custom made optics/PCB/Drivers made by Morimoto themselves specifically for this project.

Yup! V4's are the best plug and play upgrade for brighter turn signal light and a stealth smoked housing.

Correct, the 3 options are;
1)Flash like stock
2)Seqential Flash(similar to the Morimoto XB headlights)
3)Trailing Seqential(similar to the 2020 OEM Toyota LED headlights)

 

V4’s would be for you. I don’t think the V5’s are amber DRL
