    Just getting started...
So here's a silly question I suppose, and apologies if it's already been covered. Didn't really find anything in search and not gonna peruse 466 pages of this thread. lol

Has anyone done these as an amber/amber "switchback"? So steady on amber DRL function and blinks as an indicator as well? If so (or even if not), what would need to be done wiring-wise?

I thought about doing this until I got the Limited Editions with the white DRL.

What You need to do is disconnect them from their current wiring and run a wire to them which you connect to your DRL line or to a +12v ignition controlled source, then you have them lit steady with the truck on.
Then use Diode Dynamics Tail as Turn modules and tap into your turn signal wires that you just disconnected from your mirror.
There is no write up for this so you may need to be a little creative and do some research on where to tap, but I don’t see why this wouldn’t work.

I believe @MESO said the V5 will have the option to be white or amber DRL, so a plug and play version is coming if you don’t want to runs and tap wires.

I would switch from my LEs to the V5 is they have the option to be white daytime and amber at night all in the same light, but that is probably more trouble than it’s worth to design and I’m assuming not a feature of the V5s.

Last I saw he said the V5s would be out by the end of the year.

    UPDATE:

Thanks for all the orders everyone! We are finally caught up and all signals have been sent out. My apologies for the delay, but we had over 600 orders and have been getting ~200 out every day.(it takes time to bench test, QC each one, package, etc.) Plus with SEMA prep coming down to the wire, it's been a little hectic. Get rid of your chrome while supplies last!

    V5 UPDATE
As some of you my be aware, there will be a new super duper version coming out (V5.0). This project has gone though many revisions, designs, and even switched manufactures. I have been working closely with Morimoto who has been designing the internals, and it's safe to say they knocked it out of the park. These will be the brightest signals, with the most features available. I am meeting them at SEMA to check out the prototypes, and if everything looks good we will start production. MSRP is still getting finalized, but somewhere in the neighborhood of $175-200/pair.

Instead of a COB strip, we will be utilizing SMD LEDS under properly designed optics(critical!)

They have also squeezed the driver and circuity all inside so there will be no external boxes to hook up.

We all know the V4's(current model) are very bright over stock. Here is a comparison of the new V5(top) and V4(bottom)
I'll let you be the judge:D

Anticipating the V5. My only issue with the design is the "mirror DRL always on with ignition" feature.

I appreciate the reasoning behind the simplistic trade off, but I would like to tap the VCC (DRL stalk) signal and use it in place of VCC (Ignition) on the upstream side of the @MESO puddle light "Y" connector. That way, I control the mirror DRL illumination via the stalk. Other than the obvious headlight attachment point, is there a good place to pick up this signal in the engine bay?

@MESO Thanks for an outstanding product! Simple install that has a huge visual impact - hard to imagine something so small can make such a big difference.

@MESO what kind of production run on the v5's? I've got some 3's (I think) and would love to upgrade - just trying to understand if I'm going to need to jump all over it (like the puddle pods) or it's more like the last v4's run?

So, I just got my order in today. Just curious why the "warning" sticker says for "off road use only"? I get the "voiding" part of the factory warranty. How do these affect the "mall crawlers"???
