They will also have DRL function. Similar to the Limited Edition Switchbacks

They will have a White DRL function for sure, I am not sure if there will be a Amber DRL function also. I think I might have seen that as an option but cannot remember for sure.

Edit: Not sure if the pic on page 486 was the DRL function or turn use

    Re-Edit: Both options for color

These have taken a while, as they are pretty complex. Fitting all the drivers/controllers/etc internally, then making proper optics to make them the brightest and most efficient:)

    There are 2 ways to diffuse light;
1)Phosphorus Coating(the white stuff you see over halos)
    2)Optics(magnifying glasses)

There are PROS and CONS of each.

    Phosphorus Coating:
PRO: Diffuses light more evenly+ cheap to manufacure
CON: See a big white strip + loose intensity

    Optics:
PRO: more intensity + More efficient (need less LED's)
CONS: More expensive to manufacture + you can see the LED's themselves

I went with optics because for a DRL, you want the intensity and brightness. It might look funny to some (like cracked ice light) but once you are ~5+ft back it looks like a solid beam of light anyway.

You can see here how it takes all the light and magnifies it forward.

I will add one more thing.

I know the puddle light harness's for the first initial run did not have the power supply connector for the V5 DRL function. The later runs do.

I know some people might want these that do not have puddle lights and I am not sure how DRL power will be provided or if there will be an option for non puddle light equipped installs. Might be in this thread somewhere and I missed it, but I've kept an eye out for this and haven't seen it.

The Limited Editions tapped power from the interior door window / lock switch. I do not know if this option will be available for the V5's. New harness's as an a la carte might be an option?

I hope for the early puddle pods buyers that we can just get that one piece of the harness along with the V5s. Will suck to have to take the whole mirror and door off again (easy enough though), but it would make sense to me to just replace the one section of the harness with the new one that plugs into the V5s too. For non puddle poders, I have no idea.

Knowing @MESO's customer service, he would probably supply the harness if asked. Although, I'm sure he's thought about all this already.

What if I don’t have the puddle pods would I still be able to use the drl feauture? And if i plan on installing a puddle pods, are the puddle pods compatible with models that have birds eye view camera? Thanks

Not completely sure, but I can't imagine Meso would require the puddle pods in order to use the DRL feature. If you plan to get puddle pods though, it would probably make the most sense to install them at the same time.

Yes, the puddle pods sit in the plastic under the mirror closest to the door while the cameras are on the outer portion (the two plastic pieces aren't connected). I know there are pictures floating around here somewhere...

EDIT: Found a post with pictures:

I see them pop up every now and then from someone who bought them and then decided not to tackle the install (it's really not that bad). Meso did comment somewhere on having a pretty big restock coming soon, not sure if puddle pods are included in that restock though.

“i’m done with the truck” - I think this is an unobtainable statement....

Does anyone know if 3rd gen SR5's are already wired to be able to accept the MESO Ultimate LED turn signals?

Unless they've updated it recently, it doesn't seem like they have the connection needed. You'll also need to purchase a set of mirrors that the turn signals can fit into (or possibly modify yours - not sure on that).

This post has the wiring for where you'd need to tap into:

Man, y'all are needy. They'll get here when they get here. Meso has a lot on the go with custom headlights, new LED tail assemblies, V5 turn signals, etc etc.

If memory serves me correctly, hasn't it been over a year? I believe KTJO4x4 set the bar at about a year with her grab handle. LOL

I didn't say it was a high bar. Besides, in all seriousness, MESO is much higher class.
