Gotcha. Seems like the easier route then for the puddle pod owners is just to use that prewire. Is there any benefits to it dimming because I personally wouldn't care for it to dim at night with the headlights.

Hmm, maybe not benefit but an OEM style function. Honestly I think they will still be bright AF even on a DIM setting.

The limited editions have the similar setting and they are still bright.

Nice job, guys! Glad y'all are thinking this through. I'm down with octopus wires and punching a hole in the boot :D

Now, the big question, what color DRL is everyone going with?

Assuming the turn signals have a ground (which they should, but I’m an SR guy, so it is just an assumption), there isn’t any reason on couldn’t make an intercept at the a-pillar to disconnect the ignition and replace it with the DRL signal. This would still require a wire through the firewall though, unless you want to tap at the ECU and use a relay to convert a ground signal to a + output. I am of course speaking sight unseen, but I’d bet I know how this is being done easy enough.
The same intercept applies here. Also, you’ll probably want them dimmed at night. DRLs can be pretty bright. Knowing Meso, he most likely didn’t opt for anything dim

If I had a choice, I’d say white all the way.

Agreed on weighing the ROI vs LOE. But, if you want to creep up on someone in the dark, you might want to have a full-stealth mode and some night vision goggles :p

Personally I kind of like being able to go plain jane on the front if I want to. For perhaps rare situations where you're creeping up on someone you don't want to disturb (sleeping children for the most part). But I'd much rather have a way to switch between white and amber drl tbh. I'm wondering if we bought both sets could we combine them to get the desired behavior by diverting inputs to one or the other. Are the emitters the same for each and just the boards are different?

And if so, would a 5 pin be enough or would we need 6.

I know this will probably get me hell, but I don’t really like sequential turn signals. One set is fine, but when it’s two or more, and they aren’t both timed the same, it drives me crazy.
    “Make them blink in sequence!”

I haven't really been a fan of it either but, the reverse sequential turn signal is pretty sweet and matching the OEM LED's

If they match, that would be nice. I just haven’t seen them yet, so not sure there. That being said, I am designing a sequential brake light for my UpTop, so I don’t hate them in every instance. They just have to match.
