Maybe, still unsure. As you said, it is a waste for them just to sit in box in storage. But at the same time, they have been something really special for the last 3 years. There is only 25 of us too, so extra special. Might go @20tacoma17 route and start my own mighty collection.

I sent in a ticket for my order for the 2-pin connector as well thanks @MESO

 

If you would like the DRL in the V5’s to dim when your headlight DRL dims, and would like them to be able to be shut off from the stalk, then you need to run another wire through the door. If you’re ok with full brightness whenever the truck is on, then just use the puddle pods plug.

 

I accidentally ordered the amber drl and meant to order the white.

I hope Stew can get it corrected for me.

Also, is the 2 pin connector the same thing as the add on harness? I have the puddle pods installed already and am a little bit confused about the hook up.

 

So when ordering the DRL PnP Harness (NON LED Headlights), do you order 1 or 2 harnesses?

I did the opposite(wanted amber/amber, but order amber/white) I hope he just swaps our orders

 

Had to think about it but ended up pulling the trigger when I saw the ambers were sold out. Meso takes all my money. Also ordered the ultimate tails, now I’m broke af.

 

Hahaha, I feel your pain/happiness. I ordered the V5's, dual maps, and the meso x morimoto tails. RIP, had to close my eyes and hit the complete order button. It's well worth it though. Buy once, cry once.

 

I haven’t installed my puddle pods yet. So I take it that there is constant power coming from the puddle pod plugs even when the puddle pods are off? Will the drl be on along with the ignition?

 

I am the true idiot, I ordered one amber drl when they dropped at 2pm MTN time and just ordered white drl after reading people prefer them here (matching factory DRL’s). I am indecisive and TW doesn’t help lol.

Mine sat in a box unopened for so long as a trophy but I felt the same way, I knew someone would be stoked and they should be used so I sold them for cost. I pride myself on never missing a meso drop

Yes, you are correct. The puddle pods connector is always hot, well, at least when the truck is running anyway…

I know meso said in his video that he will have some for the OEM LED headlights, but no ETA. I would be interested in this too

 

I am also interested in the harness for LED headlight equipped 3rd gen Tacomas. It doesn't seem that that big of a deal to hook up the mirror turn signals and crack them open again when the time comes.

 

If you have OEM LED's from the factory you have a few options if you do not have V2 puddles.

You can still run the extension wires to the engine bay until you get a harness or power source. Will make it easy when you get it and just a minute or two completion after that.

Or run the DRL wires and power them like the Limited editions (install is on MESO's installation page) to the inner door panels (no door boot required)
I run a modified version of this where I can turn them off. Requires door boots

Or run the DRL wires to another power source of your choosing.

Functionality may differ from each option but you will still have DRL.
