Ok... So I unplugged the passenger side connector, and everything functions as it should! (Barring of course the passenger side puddles). Quick question, could this be the punched wire in question ?

It looks a bit squeezed, but not enough to severe.
I still think it's the unlock detect wire. The input required by Main Body ECU to activate the ON and dimming OFF are the door unlock and door open, both are grounds. but the unlock wire comes from the door lock and through the door boot. The door open switch is in the door frame, doesn't pass through the door boot.

When I unplugged the black 4pin in that image, everything worked, including the other side. And the lights turned off with the doors like they were supposed to. Also... The wire I sent you is somewhat pliable everywhere except where those pinch marks are. Is it worth splicing off that loop?

Do you have a pair of wire to bypass that harness (to test function on that door) I think MESO could sell you a replacement harness, if it that. But you could snip, strip and crimp. It looks like more than one spot in the cable.

What about this? I may have cheated getting the wire through the door boot... Seems like it pinched on the metal.

It looks like the culprit. Or at least an accomplice...The boot is there to prevent such things...:burp:

Yeah yeah... I'm an amateur what can I say:D well I don't have time to fix that right now, but I'm assuming that's the culprit. Everyone who helped, thanks! Love this community!!

I know it's a PIA to pull that boot and feed the line but you may want to consider it. And a little pointer. If you do run the wire through, also run a piece of small HD nylon string line through with extra on each end. Just leave it there in case you ever have to run another wire. You can pull the wire through slowly while you help guide it on the outside of the boot since it has a bend in it. :hattip:

I wouldn't worry about it. We've all taken shortcuts somewhere even tho we know better. Sometimes we get lucky, most of the time we don't..lol :hattip:

    Good news, mine are white.

    Bad news, same as others.

Is it just the Drl or is the turn the same way? Just curious.

I'm tempted to know as well but I don't have the proper connector to test on the bench. I set the ground with an MX-150 terminal which worked OK but I don't want to put power to ground that close without some heat shrink on them. Which I suppose I could do but there isn't too much purpose in that if they are going back anyway.

I could cut off the connector to find out as I have a flasher on my bench setup but something makes me think MESO wouldn't like that too much?

I just used an insulated alligator clip on the ground and used a paperclip in the power clip to just touch the other terminal. And yea, I wouldn't cut anything. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that either the red or the white wire is supposed to be plugged into the puddle pod extra socket (either you chose bright or dim). The extra socket, shouldn't it be providing both positive and negative output? Therefore, you should check the output of the puddle pod wire that you're tapping into for positivity? If you added both wires, then you're shorting out the system because one is going to a negative? :notsure:

The Bright & Dim (+) inputs work like the Combination Meter, the A/C panel and the Head Unit. They are bright when IGN is ON, and when TAIL/PARKING/PANEL is selected they dim.
One shared ground for both LED strips.

For what it’s worth, mine are white also, but I only plugged in the harness to test the blinker (amber LEDs) and noticed they were out. So I’m the opposite of you. I want to know if the whites are also out but haven’t tested them.
