I have few tickets out with different items and the discussion with Austin comes and goes with some responses taking a few days. I only assume they are a bit swammped. Give it a bit.

... So do you or do you not receive a confirmation email when submitting a ticket? Lol. That's my question.

No. Give it time and you will get a response from Austin.

You also had two questions in there.

You're correct, because I need someone with experience to answer that question.
A simple "no, you don't receive an email when submitting a ticket" would have been sufficient.

I answered your first question. Common sense should have answered the other. Good luck on your return! Best of luck!

Guess I should have been more specific. I'm referring to an automatic email. Basically a "thanks for reaching out to us. We'll respond to your request in x number of days". That's what I was poorly asking.

No automated reply confirming receipt of my request and Austin did get back to me after.

You do not. Usually you get a direct response email from support after a day or two. Typically Austin.

    Thanks, lol.

I apologize if I seemed upset. I suck at clearly speaking what's on my mind sometimes. I appreciate the help.

This was being discussed earlier. I don’t think anyone knows the answer to your questions besides @MESO himself. If I were a betting man, I’d say the connector on your puddle pod’s harness is a positive and a ground. So technically all you would have to do is find the positive from the pods, and attach either the bright(red), or the dim(white) wire from the V5’s to it. Unless that connector needs to be grounded, then I guess you would just attach that to one of the grounds in the mirror, but again, I have no idea. Your best bet is to test the two wires coming from the pods connector. And see what they are.

    Good luck!
    Nate.

Nah those should both be 12+. One for Bright and one for dim. Unless I'm missunderstanding the assignment.

Puddles have 4 wires. Dome Ground (for puddles) ignition, parking and +12v. AFAIK the puddles use +12v and dome ground which fades. Otherwise puddles would not work with ignition off which is when they are most helpful.

leaving parking and ignition as the 2 unused wires. Both positive signals. Ignition routes to red DRL and parking to white dimmed inputs to the v5’s. Which is everything you expect minus the ability to turn DRL off when the stalk is off instead of DRL or higher.

I got an email a few days later with an explanation of how they’ll address the issue (sending out a new one), but to answer your question, I never got and email confirming they received my ticket submission. I later received another email with shipping info

Ahhh, see I was under the impression that when MESO added the connector to the pods, the DRL’s on the V5’s were only on/off. I didn’t realize he had plans to dim them from the start. I thought his plan to dim them came after he sent out the V2 pods. Makes sense. That’s nice having all that functionality(minus on/off) right there in the mirror already! Well done MESO, well done indeed!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks. I find that odd, but I guess I've just been spoiled by other companies. I'll be standing by waiting for the response.

So to revisit this now that the more knowledgeable folks have chimed in, yes, you connect the adapter circled in red to the red and white wires coming from the turn signal, and then plug it in. Make sure and test which one is ignition and which one is parking lights. Red to ignition, and white to park. Also, the circled in blue longer wires won’t be used in your application.

    Good luck!
    Nate.

I was looking forward to installing these today but just noticed I didn’t receive my headlight harness and the 2 pin puddle pod adapters. Ticket submitted. Bummer.
