If you use the headlight harness you won't need the adapters and vice versa.:burp:

Probably getting a pretty solid sticker collection though, right?

So this is the puddle pod and the ultimate turn dealio. I didn’t add the secret handshake so I don’t have the puddle adapter but the photo makes it look like bare wire to the puddle connector.

My thinking for something nicer would ne to de-pin the old guy and crimp on the turns then go with them. I might do that tonight just to see.

color wise it looks like yellow and red feed the puddles (the two centers) and black and white for mirrors. From the DSIM guide it looks like black is parking light and white is ignition. So you’d connect white from puddles to red from turns and black from puddles to white from turns.

So your saying you bought the DSIM IN1 T or that MESO buys it from him?
Also the pic I posted doesn't match DSIM but I know it does with Stew's. There are 2 versions that were sold. So to be clear for everyone else, we would need Stew to clarify the one most sold, or currently sold. (IN1 T)
So I can remove my prior post info or leave it as is, since your case is DSIM version???

I was potentially erroneously assuming they were one and the same. But I have only puddles and DSIM T's, I have no MESO T so I may well be completely useless here, if so apologies.

I do assume it's entirely possible to de-pin the 2 outer positions on the 4 position JST, crimp on female JST's to the turn drl/park pigtail (maybe a little braided sleeve for looks) and then re-insert to get a plug and play T from MESO 4 pin puddle connector to puddle lights (2 inner positions) and turn drl/park (2 outer positions). From there it'd only be a matter of re-routing the ignition feed into the doors to feed from DRL instead of ignition, doable with yet another T injector harness.

Let's wait for Stew to answer for that.:pccoffee:

Yes, I think @JFanaselle plans to re-use his 4 pin since he already suffered getting that through the boot. I have the luxury of doing my own custom 4 or 5 pin through-the-door feed in case there's a value in having both ignition and drl into the mirror spot at some point in the future. Still, that 4 pin which came with the puddles is just perfect without modification so I'm a fool to do my own I think.

The porque is to get drl in on the ignition wire so stalk off turns mirror drl's off. That can all be done in the kick, before the 2 way Y 4 position jst splitter.

I thought with the harness that @MESO is selling there was no tapping into any wires? From what the video said it would be all be PNP for the DRL if you had the extra harness? Am I missing something?

Some of us are tapping wires in the door to avoid running a wire through the damn door boot, out the firewall, and to the headlight. But you are correct, if you use the harness, nothing needs to be tapped.

With the 4,536 different options that have been thrown out in this thread it has confused the hell out of me. I have a background in car alarm/stereo install so I’m pretty comfortable with wiring, but my mind is now spinning. Can someone please answer this?

What is the best option for tapping to get full function (bright/dim DRL) in the doors? Thank you

For tapping in the door, you will have the DRLs turn on with the IGNITION and Dim when you switch to parking/dash illumination.

Passenger side is a pink and green wire.

Driver side is a white and green wire.

Has anyone installed it yet who has the 360 camera? I assume less room to run the wires through the mirrors?

There might be less room, but should still be plenty of usable space for the V5s.

Here is my limiteds, with almost 3 times more wiring and they fit. I also have power folding mirrors, so even less space but zero issues.

Ye, there is a enough wiggle room in the mirror assembly to stash a lot of wires. Helps that nearly all of them are 22-24awg wires too.
