Appreciate the confirmation! What's the best way to test which is ignition and which is parking? Is it a matter of just wiring it up and then testing it by plugging it into the puddle pods to see if it turns on?

Apologize if this has been answered already.

Lights, stickers, audio, and a grille…
The simple way is to use an automotive light tester and see which pin in the puddle connector is live with truck on, and lights off. If you don’t have a tester, plug the V5 into the truck’s mirror turn signal plug(to ground it), and then take the exposed red wire and touch it to a pin in the puddle connector with truck on, and lights off. One pin should light up the V5, and the other shouldn’t. The pin that lights up the V5 is ignition, and the pin that doesn’t light it is parking.

    Good luck,
    Nate.

An update for anyone interested. It's on its way back to MESO, so, now we gotta figure that part out.

Well today was the day and it took a little while but the job is complete. I wired it the long way through the boots and firewall using the wiring harness provided by Meso. It was plug and play except for a couple of crimps, unless I did it incorrectly. They work with the stalk as intended.

The passenger side was easier except for the boot. For whatever reason it was more of a pain than the driver side. My puddle pods still work as well so that is a plus.

I originally ordered the amber by accident. I submitted a ticket to change to white and to add the wiring harness as well as the 2 pin connector. Well amber was shipped and I gotta say that I'm glad they did. I think the amber look better on a white Tacoma. Well here they are. Night pics will obviously be better

Ok? I'll wait until it gets dark outside. Probably not a big deal to me.

Ok, so I did this. Passenger side works perfectly. Driver’s side DRL is always dim. Any ideas?

Verify you're getting the dim 12+ At the connector with a test light?

What is that connector/tap called? Would I be able to find that at a hardware store or must I order it online?

I would be quite impressed if you found these at a hardware store. Also, not sure at all on wire gauge / sizing. They do at least look decent as far as T taps go.

I did, and I am. I’m concerned the light itself is malfunctioning. I was worried it had a bad crimp so I took it back apart and verified the signal (ignition, dim both checked out) then I put new crimps on. Still nothing. Drivers side stays dim no matter what, turn signals work, and passenger side bright and dim works

Use your test light at a jump wire. Hook one end to battery 12+ and touch the red wire maybe.

Appreciate the help, got it figured out. In my tiredness, I had the DIM and IGN wires swapped. It’s funny, that was the first side I did. I didn’t have red/white wire so I used blue/yellow. I always use yellow as “hot” or constant. For some reason I reversed it. Anyway, all solved and I like it.

even with the trouble I caused myself, this was easier than trying to get it through the boot and into the engine bay.

Free Meso “plug and play” headlight harness for non-led oem headlights if anyone wants, just pay shipping.
