Ultimate LED turn signals

I did too but he said they dim with headlights on so Meso must have them set up this way. Sounds like he did it right.

 

The Puddle extra pigtail has fused IGN source AND Parking source. So IGN to RED - BRIGHT and Parking to WHITE - DIM.

 

That’s correct…they come on full brightness immediately when I start the truck and dim when I turn on the headlights.

 

Headlights? or is it parking setting?

 

I emailed Meso yesterday and Austin just emailed me a return label and sent out a replacement set this morning. Meso is really good to deal with, top notch.

 

Have you guys been putting any “filler” of sorts in your mirrors? When I close both doors I can hear the cables like rattle.

 

No, I haven't. I could see mold growing on the bottom of my OEM cables, I imagine foam would be a breeding ground. Maybe secure your wires a little better with zip ties?

And a follow up to my hyper flash:
Austin replied to me and told me the same thing happened to him. He said adding resistors to the TT's fixed his issue. I will likely leave them uninstalled since I have the new taillights coming in a few months anyways. But in case anyone else has the issue, there you go.

 

Stupid question but worth asking, anyone experiencing hyper flash

@MattyP808 , based on this info from @ktbell444 do you want to try a note to Austin (MESO ticket) and see if resistors resolve your trouble? You mentioned you have total tails as well so it sounds like your setup is the same as Karl and Austin (though Karl's truck came with LED headlights vs a halogen to LED conversion).

For the rattle problem, maybe a strategic zip tie could help some?

So I had this issue when I first installed my puddle lights and the rattling was driving me insane. I popped the door panel off and used the only thing I had at the time, a blue shop towel folded it over a few times and wrapped around the wiring area that I suspected to be the culprit and it was problem solved. I had completely forgotten about it until I just installed the new turn signals. I ended up just reusing it lol. Had no mold or condensation and it's literally out of site out of mind to me ha

 

I used electrical tape to bunch up/reduce volume of the unused flash type selector connections together and have not felt or heard any rattle. Maybe this and what Dave said about zip ties would be of some help, cheers.

 

Both mine and my friends' are hyperflashing when turn signal is on for 30+ seconds.

 

Are there additional LED in the rear lamp assembly, turn signal type...

After removing my TT's, I don't have hyper flashing at all anymore. If you plan on keeping yours, I'd invest in some resistors. I posted the link a few posts up.

 

I have stage 1 tails and didn’t get hyper flashy, but I think they only ran for 15-30 seconds each and it’s been in the garage since. I’ll test it again this weekend

 

Is it hyper flashing when the DRL is on? I also have total tail stage one and aftermarket led headlights and mine hyper flashes when the DRL is on after 18 flashes on the left side and immediately on the right only when the engine is on. With the engine off everything works perfectly

HELP!

I installed my V5 last night to the puddle pods. Everything turned about fine.

However now, none of my HVAC lights as well as my window switch lights turn on although they still function when I press in. Did I maybe blow a fuse? Does anyone know what fuse is linked to these lights? Any other potential problems?
