    It's me again, the light nazi.
    :wave:

    For those that don't know...I like to build stuff. Preferably with upgraded LED lighting.

    This build is called the ULTIMATE SIDE MIRRORS.

    Props to @LaPewPew for the integrated ditch light idea. :thumbsup:

    You think it...I'll build it!®

    Objectives:
    -upgraded turn signal LED with smoked housing(I already make these, search around)
    -integrated LED puddle lights at the bottom: (so when you walk up or unlock they illuminate the entry)
    -integrated/stealth ditch lights.(when you don't want Obnoxious Bro-boxes hanging on your hood)

    I'll update as the build progresses, but the biggest hurdle was getting the ditch lights mounted.
    now for some Pics;

    New side mirror with ballpark of where I want the light. Someone has to be the guinea pig...
    [IMG]

    A look inside. Marked off where the ditch light will go;

    After My favorite weapon--the Dremel
    [IMG]

    Perfect fit..just how I calculated it:)
    [IMG]

    The light is a Rigid ignite with FLOOD pattern. Very low power consumption and relatively small package.
    I lit it up last night and it is PLENTY bright!!

    Like everything I do. FLUSH AND CLEAN!
    [IMG]

    Next to stock mirror. Don't let the body lines of the mirror fool you, the ditch light is 100% level.
    Worked out nice because the factory mirror angles back which allows the light to be in the perfect position for side "ditch" illumination.

    More to come... and of course some light output pictures!

    It's far from done. The screws will get swapped out to black, and the upper housing flat black. Chrome lens.. I can't do anything about. My priority it always function. But.. it's still pretty stealth IMO.

    Nice.
    Been following all your 3rd gen stuff
    :thumbsup:

    I like that the raptor has the ditch lights integrated in the same turn signal on the mirrors as well so it's hidden

    I'm in for results and to pad your wallet too.

    Great integration. Love the puddle light idea, anxious to see how you do it. I burned up an ECU trying....

    Nothing worthy
    Very innovative idea! What would be really stealth would be to ditch the turn signals for ditch lights in place. Looks like signals but white LEDs in place. Would point outwards nicely too.

    Do tell...

    This was my original plan because it would be super clean. I tested out a white LED strip inside the turn signal lens. It was worthless for light projection to say the least. Would be fine for a DRL... but without a "lens" or optic in front of the LED to direct the light outward, it won't work. Since all my builds focus on performance, I had to use something I knew worked.(rigid light). I can only re-invent the wheel so much..

    Looking forward to purchasing your blinker upgrade in the near future. Also very excited for the puddle light upgrade. I plan to do this myself.
