    Well that's what I meant
If we can build one into it the same way it would be nice
I want to disable that feature soonish

But I like this idea a lot. Nice and tucked

    Depends on where you liveo_O

These performed as good as I thought they would. Puddle lights have a nice fade in/out. Light pattern has a very good width and even coverage. little reflection off the door(to be expected so close).

    SIDE:

    FRONT((nice width!)

    Another front shot.

The ditch lights are pointed a degree too high. I followed the couture of the mirror housing.. so maybe the next set I'll angle them down a tad. Still..awesome output for a little light! might not be a "DITCH" light..more high beams haahaha

And a bonus pic...I thought this was cool backing into my garage. Featuring My Ultimate LED tails:eek:

Idk? Didn't know if there was any interest for a mod like this. Most of my projects I just start making 1-offs for my own truck and post it up here.
But just in material(new mirror housings, led pods, turn signals, etc) there is about ~$500. A little pricey for your average modder. But if it's going to be the best out there, price is a non-issue for me.

Just a thought for a future "tweak" ... use 50-60% of the puddle light strip with the placement at the outward most position you currently use, thus moving the LEDs farther out from the truck body. Could "rough" test it by covering with cheap tape to determine change in reflection as well as output prior to making cuts.

Looks great!! Your work is awesome, I would be happy to have half your skill.

I will have to see if you start producing and a cost my wallet can absorb.

I would love to move the puddle more outward. The problem is the mirror body line transitions..and I am currently right to the edge of it. Plus, If it was any further out you would really notice it looking at it from the side. I am actually thinking about flush mounting one under each door handle to get some light for the back doors.

I may not have effectively conveyed my message. My thought was to reduce the overall length by 30-50%, keep the outer position you have and the inner position would thereby be farther from the body panel. But the outtermost end would be in the same position it currently is.

That MAY reduce the reflection glare on the body. Then again it may just reduce the total amout of light to be so little it is a waste of time. :notsure:

You could test the "shorter" light strip with electrical tape covering the inner (truck side) section till you are happy witht the net result.

Again, the tweak was offered to assist based on your comment
By no means am I attempting to imply that your work is anything but top notch.

^ ah, gotcha. Yeah I'd rather have more light and deal with a little reflection VS less light and risk Loosing some ground coverage.

I personally would have used a single diode for the puddle lights. not as bright, but I personally think a strip is a bit much. Great work though. Interested to see how you'll fix the aiming on the pod

do you know who you're talking to?!o_O

Plus, you can't even see them.. they are facing down. Could be 1, 10, 1000 out of sight out of mind

they both have their purposes. Obvisouly these aren't adjustable like hood mounted ditch lights. They are meant to be more stealth while still giving you some useable side lighting.

true haha. just a personal opinion, too bright for me for puddle lights. Looks great regardless.

on a side note, would you provide the turn signal part without smoke, but with an amber plexi lens?

can't find your original turn signal thread, but do you use cobs?
