Just found this thread...heading out for the 1st time this season on Saturday. Not expecting great snow or anything, just more testing my new gear and watching my cousin fall on his ass while he tries to get better at boarding.

I'm a recent Colorado transplant too...I got the Copper/Winter Park pass. Copper is my favorite mountain, and WP is nice because it gets you off the I-70 traffic.

i am. i for get which model. got a pic of them in my snowboard thread, like fist page. IMHO they are OK... i feel there are better binding out there. back in jan when i was in WNY and went to holiday valley they would slip loos some. idk if it’s because it was pretty cold, and i had the board in the bed of the truck on some snow, for 1h to 1.5h or what. but they did come a little loos on me. down here i have not really had a problem with that happening, so i really don’t know what the problem was. I can tell where they “slipped" and came loos some.

also i HATE when they smallest amount of ice gets in the buckles! they become pretty hard to loosen. the back on mine fold down and thats how i take them on and off, instead of ratching them down every time.

Bought a pair of skis online for the wife, shes a beginner at 5'1" barely....140cm will work? They're up to her chin. She'll never be a speed demon either, just a casual groomer.

I have a pair of gnu street bindings which are similar to flow. I like them except if you find yourself stuck in some powder they are much more difficult to remove your feet from than a traditional style binding.

this is true for flow as well. and it will get in the buckles and may make it kinda hard to undo them. i’m tired of it, and looking to get new bindings.

Yeah, it was a sick day. sun and 30*... I'd much rather 3' of light pow but always nice to ski in the sun. Good start for us. Had the Mountain to myself too. It's always like that during the week

I've got to move out West though...

    sweet
but i have great great great news
so i picked up the flow bindings and went to have my boots heat molded
so im talking with the guy who ownes the ski place and i tell him i have been riding k2 clickers for about 15-20 years and my boots are all blown out and its killing me to change
so he tells me the clicker was a great system but the problem was with the boots.....
and here is the great part...they are coming back or should i say they are back.......
k2 just came out with a top of the line boot for the new KWICKER system by k2.....
    its used on split boards......
    i almost pissed myself
went home and googled it and sure as sit they just came out
then the best part is i go to ebay and there is a brand new pair of boots in my size for auction......ending in 3 hours "yesterday" and so i go for it and no other bidders
long story short they should be here in about a week with a $200 savings over new price
i got them for $185 and $34 shipping
loving life right now i hope.....
i still wasnt sure if they would work with my old school clickers but i took the chance
and today i got an email from k2 stating they will in fact work with my old bindings ...so i dont have to spend another $200 and get there bindings......
    woooot
    woooot
    wooot
im so freakin happy right now
i just pray the boots are comfy and good......
    wish me luck
here is a link to the boots.....
unsure about the new style lacing systems....as you know i am old school

    It was $.99

They have a free version but I figured for 99 pennies... Why not? Lol
