its a covid thing. They've never capped pass sales or daily limits till this year. Season pass holders should unimpeded and not need to do any reservation bs. But there are daily limits on ticket sales as well

Ya, that would be total shit if they cut the season short again. But at least now everyone knows how to *kind of* handle it, so hopefully they can keep it open. Though good luck not spreading that shit all through employee housing...

Alright you scrubs. Who’s going skiing?

We’re getting a solid foot over today/tonight. First tour of the winter tomorrow am. Let’s go burn some lungs and not hit rocks

nice early season snow! We had great conditions over thanksgiving then its been a damn drought since then. luckily this new storm cycle should cover all the shitty ice up and get the coverage going again

Don't think I've got any pictures, but we've been getting hammered up here so far this season, another few feet just this past few days. Lots of solid early season coverage which helps spread the people out. Although we do get spoiled by what even a "busy" day in the backcountry looks like

Need a pic of the whole quiver but I finally was able to afford a new set of skis. Granted they’re factory seconds with a small paint blemish but :spending:

On the plus side our timberline got bought up by Perfect North and they completely overhauled the lodge, snowmaking, and lifts.
Here’s the brand new Dopplemayr detachable 6 pack lol takes a lil over 4 min to get to the top. I will miss the old lift

Well isn't that a cute little hill...I mean mountain. I kid but really as long as you're up getting turns thats all that matters. We had a warm front move in last night and the snow levels are above 6k feet right now so straight raining at our timberline but all last week was awesome. Overall its been a great season so far and we were able to open on Thanksgiving day

Hoooooooly crap. Your new snow is more than our snowpack in a lot of places. Our total season snowfall is like 72" :annoyed:

No kidding. Dug a pit over the weekend, was on my knees and my head was over the snow surface. I want to ski some deep maritime snow.

The resort about 30 minutes from where this photo was taken is sitting just a hair under 500" for the season. Average for the season is about 650" so definitely a bit ahead of normal, no complaints from me haha

There's plenty up here to go around!

I've heard that it has been absolutely firing up around Turnagin and Alyeska. So jealous. I would love to come up to AK sometime.
