Hit Jay today! Very limited terrain. Beginner lift for the morning then Jet opened at noon. Pretty fun, skied with friends, no yahoo factor to deal with.
Skiing is fun! Or riding if that's your schtick. All good!

Mounted the new to me yakima ski racks onto my bed bars. Got them off Craigslist for $30 including the locks and key (quite a rarity). I used some bar mounts for offroad lights to mount them to the bed bars. Not sure I like the look but function over form I guess.

Super excited to get into these pin-less splitboard bindings. The heel lock/lever technology looks really cool

Was real stoked to catch the first of the huge storms at Mammoth a couple weeks back, looking like a dry few weeks for the holidays though

Well I have a slightly torn meniscus, and a slight tear in my ACL graft from a complete ACL tear 14 yrs ago.....

Looking to get some repair job done, but don't know exactly what I am planning on. My dr is not sure that the acl damage came in my resent injury and may have been there for yrs. If that's the case I don't want a complete acl repair. To fix the meniscus is a quick 30 min scope with a few weeks recovery.

I really want to ski, but don't want to push off the acl if it's truly needed.

My Dr is the surgeon for TGR films, so he knows ski injuries quite well.

Bummer man, never fun being held out cus of injury. Wishin ya a fast recovery. I'm fighting my front knee all season. I've got no cartilage left in it so its down to pain tolerance.

Been 8 days so far this season. Ain't bad considering I haven't even started winter break and was working up until December 9th.

Monday at northstar was UNREAL. Bluebird. Top of mountain had 4.5 feet of untouched snow from the weekend since the lift to the peak did not open due to wind the whole storm. I'm getting better at wiping out gracefully so I'm able to get real rowdy now. Stoke levels are through the roof!

No pain, no Jane. She was -2 when we rolled up at 8 this morning. But warmed up to a nice 20s. I can't believe how good our snow is for pre Christmas.

Also spied on my wife's CC account and she's getting me a brand new avy rescue set for Christmas. It'll replace my old-ish Black Diamond setup that's almost 10 yrs old

My boys grew up learning on ice and crud at snoqualmie. They still talk about how terrifying Alpental is and skiing in the rain. They can ski anything Colorado, Wyoming or Utah throws at them after the big bad PNW .
