I purchased an ultra gauge mx 1.3 to read my transmission temps when pulling a camper. On their website it showed it was available on 2005+ models, but now it seems that 2015 is the cutoff year after reading through the owners information.

Does anyone have the temps reading on their 2016?

If so what can I do to get it to read?

I submitted a ticket through their website but it takes 48+ hrs for a reply and I would like to know if I will need to try and return it.

    2016 sr5 3.5l 4x4.

Really ticked at the moment because I waited so long for this.

Well, I did get a reply. Just a link to the FAQ which didn't give me any more info.

So far not too happy with ultragauge support

I have no idea what those codes mean, or how to program, but I will try and see what happens.

Folks here are successful with that.

Got a reply today, and they are saying I can program the unit to accept the scangauge code.

I will try to see if I can figure this out and make it work.

Just tried those codes and it still reads err. I really wanted this to work. Starting the return process.

Am I correct looking at the scan gauge 2?

Two sensors, one for converter and other for pan temp?

It's not simple to just plug in Scangauge codes into the Ultragauge.

They use different parameters, that you have to decipher.

For example, (only an example), Scangauge:

    TXD: 0701221AAA
    RXF: C462051A36AA
    RXD: 3008
    MTH: 00090005FFD8
    NAM: TF1

    Ultragauge:

    TDATA: 07E02182
    MTCH: 6182
    RPOS: 2808
    RCTRL:21
    TCTRL:92
    X: 0009
    /: 0005
    +: FFD8
    Output format: 00
    Left/Right is 31

I discovered what tomwil was talking about last night trying to make the codes compatible and quit with a headache. I started the return process last night and I'm waiting for their reply.

I offered to pay return shipping and for the mount since it cannot be reused.

Looks like I will be purchasing the scangauge 2
