Anyone have a good stealth mounting location? My truck spends more than half the year outside at night, so I'd like keep it away from prying eyes.

Did you calibrate your fuel take capacity?

You need to enter the size for example 2nd gens are 21.1 gallons. Then you need to fill up all the way and enter that you filled up. From there on out it should be accurate if your good about entering the info each time you get gas. If you only put like $30 bucks in then enter"partial fill up" and enter the amount you got.

If you have oversized tires, you have to do additional calibration. I have 32's and mine is perfect accurate without calibration. If u have 33's you'll need to do the extra calibration

Got mine temporarily mounted with Velcro, not sure where I want to put it yet... DTE seems to be wayy off but otherwise everything seems accurate. upa8eryh_0e57a1439b65c750a6918e27b3e2d99724128d4b.jpg

Depends how textured. If your familiar with 2nd gen Tacoma's, the upper dash area will not work. Neither will the texture around the radio. But the textured plastic shroud around the strong column will work if you clean it wok enough. If you have used any type of armour all or other greasy chemical your going to need more then an alcohol pad to get it clean enough to stick. Also the grey plastic such as glove box and stuff is also textured but it will still stick to that. Just gotta clean it really good

I entered all that at start up and did my one fill up. Maybe it takes a while to calibrate. I got my info from the PDF online. I didn't get any instructions.

Hmm, mines dead accurate. Remember that when you first fill up its gonna show like 499 miles till empty. As you drive and get an average mpg, it will adjust. The lower your tank is the more accurate it is. My gas light turns on when I have 45-60 distance till empty every time. Remember also that your DTE is calculated based on your AVERAGE mph. Not your trip average but overall average. So if you just reset your average mpg then DTE is gonna be way off. I like to reset my overall average about every 2-3 tanks. The longer you drive without resetting your average the more consistent it will become and the more accurate your DTE.

Got mine today! I was surprised by how small it actually is - seemed bigger from the pics I've seen.

    Thanks ProForce!!!

Picked it up real quick from the post office and input my tank size, engine size, and a partial fill up.

I'm going to mess with it some more after work and fill the tank up Friday to make a 500 mile trip home. Can't wait to see what mpg's I get

IIRC you have to do it by distance rather than tire size. MENU: vehicle setup: calibration: Calibrate Distance: you then have to put in your actual distance traveled.

Got mine today. Ended up leaving the Scangauge2 in the Taco since it fits very well in the double din to single din pocket under the stereo. Threw the UG in the IS300 right on the cluster, in the middle of the speedo. Both great products. Happy with my purchase!
