I found this user manual online. It seems to be an older version than what I got, but it gave me enough info to be able to set my gauges.

Edit: Current version User Manual. Ultra_Gauge_EM_1_2_Manual_3_30_13.pdf

like posted above, the manual is actually really good and I believe about 65 pages.

How do you reset the overall average MPG after a fill up? I held the up button but all that did was reset the MTE.

I think you have to go in and zero the trip MPG... right?

If you look in the manual, I'm sure you can figure the fix pretty quickly:

reset your trip in fuel calibrations. Fill your tank drive to empty, fill it up note the fuel used. Go into vehicle calibrations then fuel it will tell you to enter actual fuel used. Then it does the calibration.

PS I have a love hate relationship with this thing. I was like this is totally awesome until I burnt my first two tanks and calibrated the MPG... My average is 16.4, Ignorance was bliss! I need more highway miles and less backroads.

This is why I dont use the MPG. I would constantly be looking at it.

Attempted to velcro it to top left of windshield but when I came out this morning it was hanging from the pillar. Reinstalled it next to the steering wheel., and routed wire around and behind steering wheel.

Thanks for the group buy. I'm not sure how truly useful this will be yet, but I'm having fun playing with it. I made a spreadsheet at lunch to sort out what gauges I want on each page. Hopefully this will speed up the process of customizing it this weekend.

Meanwhile, here's where I've got it mounted for now. I had to remove the fog light button and move it to the lower bank of buttons. This left me two blanks that I covered with the Ultragauge. It's a smidge too wide and overlaps the last button just a hair. One day when I feel enterprising I may try to trim it back, but I don't use that button enough to make a big deal over it.

Both looks like good spots, though I don't really know since I've never sat in a 2nd gen :anonymous:

Sounds like you did all the leg work. Wanna forward that spreadsheet this way? :)
